So, speaking of keeping busy: Drive sprockets are detailed a bit with some bolt heads, and engine deck is done (almost) using a combination of Verlinden parts and other bits from the two Eduard etch sets. Paint is on the areas I won't be able to get when spraying, Humbrol green of some flavor.

Those bolt heads look awesome on the sprockets! Looks meaner for sure!

Thanks Andy. I didn't add anything to the same parts I used on the Tiran, and they look positively naked in comparison. So I'm in my happy place now.....

For some reason I enjoy doing those tracks... get things off my mind for an hour or two. And to keep me AWAY from the refrigerator too!

An "hour or two"? Dude, you must move pretty fast. But yeah, one of the reasons I really like armor is Friuls. I may have mentioned it before, but some of the models I build are selected because Friuls (or Spade Ace) are available, and large enough that my poor abused hands can deal with them. What can I say......

Coming along nicely Russ! The Friuls look good.

Speaking of Spade Ace where do you order them? Maybe I should look into it for my little Panzer II Ausf F if they are cheaper than Fruils?

Thanks, Leon. Andy, I order Spade Ace from Hobby Easy or Lucky Hobby, can't recall which right now, but most sets run around $30 with shipping.

Moving right along Russ, can see why you're in 'track heaven' at the moment.

Glitter-application is working a treat Russ! I bet it even covers some of the smell LOL
Hmm, I don't want to urinate on your parade Andy, but my personal experience of Panzer III Spade Ace tracks was not a delightful one: they were so flash-laden it took me several afternoons just to clean them up...

I don't understand how anyone can buy a kit just because there are Friuls for it. I've never done that.

Man, thank you so much for your warning. I was planning to order one in a week or two. I guess I will deal with Magic Track for now...

No worries Andy - I'm pretty sure they'd be fine for stuff like T-34s or KVs, but for stuff with perforations like the IIIs and IVs - never again!

I've had good and bad "luck" with both Friuls and SpadeAce, makes me wonder sometimes..... But not for long.

Having an adjustable idler always makes life sooo much easier when it comes to workable track tension. Looks like you've got it right where you need it Russ.

Thanks, gents. Bill, I tried to do the same thing on the Tamiya T-55 and couldn't get enough movement to make a usable difference, but it worked great this time.

Thanks boss. Yup, mostly AM now, and I have some Trump parts on the way as well. It's looking kind of like Joseph's "coat of many colors".....

Uhhhh..... well..... it's still on the bench, but I've been kind of on the fritz, no mojo for a while. My wife even asked me if I was okay since I hadn't been in the model room in several weeks. Wow. I even scared up some Trump fuel cells fro this thing. I did actually touch it Sunday, moved it out of the way cuz I shot some darker green on the Leo, does that count? This is weird, really weird. On the positive side, I have snagged a bunch of stuff for the stash, and the HobbyTown in Vegas is definitely worth a visit.
