I actually contemplated doing some more work on this thing the other day, took an easier path instead and started the M47. Must be something about wanting to do something simple.....

I'm thinking a little here, a little there, keep it going for a while. I still haven't even decided on a paint scheme, don't even know what model T-62 I'm building. Jeez......

Really like your taking a basic kit and making it into a modellers dream. I enjoy this one because of all the steps you have added. More picture please.

I kind of forgot about this one, even buried it on my Shelf of Shame. Hmmm....

Does that mean you dug it out Russ? Or just pile more stuff on top?!

It's still visible, but at the end of the line. It's actually not that far from paint, I just lost interest, probably because of the very slow progress I was making. The last few builds I've done have been pretty close to OOB, and I've enjoyed it. Not to say that's a future trend for me, but with the very limited time I've had for modeling lately, it's nice to actually finish a couple of builds I've wanted to do for a while, like the IS2 and Merkava.

Holy resurrection Batman! In a flurry of late-night super glue fumes, I blasted this thing together, deciding that I would go crazy with all the different etch and resin bits. Instead of trying to use it all, I got selective and got it built.... I did something I probably shouldn't have done: started a Trump T-62 model 1972, just because this one was fun and I thought the comparison wold be neat. First thing I noticed, the hull on the Trump kit (easily the more accurate of the two) is maybe a scale two feet shorter. I knew the Tamiya kit was "long" but wow.

That's because of the Motorization.

I figgered so. The difference between the Tamiya and Trump hull sizes is pretty huge. While I'm here, finished pics: IMG_3774 by Russel Baer, on Flickr IMG_3775 by Russel Baer, on Flickr IMG_3775 by Russel Baer, on Flickr IMG_3777 by Russel Baer, on Flickr This model is two things: 1) The heaviest model in the case, what with all that Verlinden resin and the Friuls, and 2) The highest AM content of anything I've done to date. What's scary is that I still have a large amount of etch, some resin bits and three gun tubes left over.
