I've never played any Warhammer, but I REALLY dig the vehicle designs. Can't wait to see where you go with this!

This is cool looking Lucas! I reserved a front row seat. What scale are they?

Like always, 28mm Leon. Thats about 1/50 Id say. Dupes, this one was a bargain. 30 € only - compared to other GW kits very cheap. Cant wait until friday when the customized wooden base done by a nearby carpenter will be ready for the bird.

On the old Rec.Games.Miniatures.Warhammer Usenet group it was said the GW vehicles were built to the "Hwang formula" (after John Hwang, a member who first identified the ratios). Basically, they're 1:48th scale vehicles with 1:35th scale hatches and other details and 1:16th-1:12th scale weapons... Cheers, M

First pictures. Basically, everything thats not grey was build in additionally. The only thing missing here is the 4-barreled railgun. It will become a 6- or 8-barreled version by unsing plastic sheet and brass tube.

Technically 28MM converts to 1/56, if I remember correctly. However, as figures have crept up in size over the years they now more closely match 1/60 - which is why all of the Battletech garage kits are that scale. Lots of 28MM accessories!
Looks great, btw. I may have to snag this one and give it a try. Seems remarkably affordable for a Games Workshop product.

Andy, if I want to compete with the Czech next year, OOB builds are no option at all. As long as I can be busy (and can learn a bit more about painting techniques etc.), Im happy.

The recessed areas with the added wiring - are you going to fit grills over them?
Cheers,

I am indeed into the BT thing (thread elsewhere on the forum ). It still amazes me what GW thinks they can get for a few plastic sprues. 150 bucks for that KV128? Ridiculous.

A fine looking build so far Lucas!! Next best thing to a good primer coat is seeing the naked plastic and brass come out!!

More details for the back of the beast... Like I said... the railgun is a piece of junk. A visit of the pharmacy helped ( > 8x 0.7mm cannula + T-90 track wheels). The battle suits are complete. Nasty lil bastards. The first swing of the infantry. More to come! Thanks for dropping in!

Shes got one! An 8-barreled version. And new intakes are on the way - the kit versions look far too simple (again).

Thank you. Decision for the paint scheme(s) has fallen: Main color: white Legs/backpacks/weapons: black with metal trim Accents/lettering: light & middle green tonesIts basically the same like the "Vior'La"* have, but with green details. * www.advancedtautactica.com/resource/att_comp/medusa1.JPG

Definitely an improvement on the gun and those intakes Lucas. Looks like you've got the base and scheme all laid out, bring on the finish!
