As I've mentioned before with the 1/32nd scale Pin-Ups, my main interest in these will be their potential for conversion for use in other genres, more specifically Post Apocalyptic and Fantasy. But before I’ve had a chance to experiment with the smaller stuff Master Box have upped their game (and scale) and started to release similar figures individually in 1/24th scale. I say similar as they’re not exactly their smaller equivalent pantographed up. Aside from the necessity of splitting the upper torsos and hollowing them (and introducing similar voids into the hips) to avoid sink marks there are other differences to note. I haven’t got hold of Figure 1 “Marylin” yet, the smaller scale figure is designed to be sitting sideways on a parked motorcycle but like her larger sister should look at home perched on the bonnet (hood) or roof of a PA car, while “Betty” and “Alice” can be stood beside it or in the bed of a truck. This figure has the right arm raised with the hand holding the peak of her cap, while her smaller equivalent has it down by her side holding a spanner.
Figure 3 “Alice” (contrary to the box art) has swapped her combat boots for a pair of high-heeled slippers, while parts of her webbing straps are now moulded separately. The head of the smaller figure is moulded with a flat top with some hair integral to the head showing under the (separate) helmet, while the 1:24th figure has an almost full but “shaved” head and the hair in two parts to fit under the rim of the helmet. This is actually more convenient than with the smaller figures which have partial flat-topped heads with integral hair to suit specific (separate) headgear. It will facilitate the “Furiosa” look, or “Mohican” punks, as well as other (more conventional) hairstyles or headgear.
Figure 2 “Betty” no longer includes the extra pair of arms which come with her smaller counterpart, and the flag pole (which is not included in the smaller set) has the fingers of the left hand moulded onto it. The head of the smaller figure is moulded with a full head of hair integral with it, while the 1:24th figure has a partial cranium rather than being entirely flat-topped with a small beret moulded separately and the hair in two parts to fit it.
From the details on the Master Box site, the other three figures should be available as well. Figure 4 "Suzie" appears to be closest to her smaller sister in details and does have the majorettes baton this time in stead of the baseball bat. Figure 5 "Patty" seems to be somewhat differently posed while Figure 6 "Samantha" is wearing high heels as depicted on the box art of both sets while her smaller self is barefoot and has a frill on her knickers.
Although somewhat pricey (“Alice” and “Betty” together cost me more than the smaller set with its six figures) they do present opportunities for modellers of 1:24th/1:25th scale PA vehicles to include reasonably priced characters with their rides, probably more so than most alternatives.
Regards
M

Sounds like you have your hands full with a conversion then...but the whole idea is very pleasing!! It's what this hobby is all about, having some fun putting some plastic and resin together! Looking forward to seeing you tackle the project at some point! I' a big fan of the subject matter...but a bigger fan of women who can kick my a$$....LOL!!
The price here in the US seemed reasonable for the 1/24 ...at $8.99 each or so. Depending on location and taxes applied, I am sure the pricing would be much more sometimes.
Best of luck on the build my friend! Enjoy!!

These would look great parked next a rat rod build. Oooh now that's a dangerous thought for a man with too many ideas for projects already. ...
