Something different for me. Going to get it started pretty soon. Guess it's time to build/sell/trash that resin kit I've got! Didn't think we'd see this in plastic any time soon.

Hi all YET AGAIN i find myself indebted to Sean aka vindicareassassin's amazingly inventive mind and needless to say his very kind generosity!! This time in the area of Panther engine deck grilles!!! Some of you may have been following the debate on what to use for engine deck grilles on my trial run ( here) for our Cuckoo duel build and saw Sean's suggestion of using screen printing mesh. On Thursday an A5 sized envelope arrived at my office containing two A5 sized sheets of the material (18 thread per cm count) and I have to say yet again Sean has hit the nail on the head as I think it will do a the job perfectly. As you can see from the pics below it's a pretty fine mesh and as we're working in braile scalle I have calulated that just these two sheets is enough to do the rectangular engine deck grilles for over 400 Ausf Gs.....I guess I'd better get building!!. Sean - thank you yet again for your generosity!! Andrew Apololigies if you can't quite make it out properly but it was really hard to take a picture of it - as you might imagine!! ---------------------

Got me some stuff at the recent show Roscoe Turner IPMS her in Indianapolis. I am mostly excited about USS Sullivans... got it for only $20 and it will be my next build as soon as I am done with my Panzer II. I grew up in Buffalo where USS Sullivans is docked as a floating museum today at Buffalo Naval Yard. Nice Score!!!!!!

All this stuff will be showing up in my '54 Chevy Panel Wagon thread. I was up in San Antonio this weekend and of course I ended up in a Hobby Shop and I couldn't resist getting some goodies for my current build. Can't do without a dash tachometer for it... a few goodies for the engine detail... I could have bought some of this from a fabric store but what tha hell? Some seat belt fabric.. and while we're at it, some seat belt buckles.... a little braided fuel line to go with the dual quads....... and this by far is my favorite. A set of Tasmanian Devil Floor Mats . I just couldn't help myself.. I just had to get these!

Looks like somebodies going to be detailing a few cars here in the near future. Cool! Bob at the Model Car Garage is in the process of rebuilding his web site and adding some more great PE parts.

You are going to love this Vorpanzer. Bob built one very recently... you can see it listed in March MoM.

You're definitely finding some adventurous kits Bruce! This one was one of the first Trumpeter releases IIRC.

We are poor little lambs, who have lost our way, baa, baa, baa! This one's 1/48, I'm not crazy enough to go big due to the display space required!

Certainly the biggest model box to come to my house like ever. The box says "B-17G," but that can't be right..... And it wasn't. This is HK's forthcoming B-17F. This is a test shot I'll be doing for Model Aircraft. There's 15 new sprues added to the G base sprues. HK has redesigned and upgraded a number of areas. This is some serious kit. My sincerest thanks to Neil Yan of HK and James Hatch at Large Scale Modeller for setting this one up for me. Build forthcoming!

Built this kit over 20 years ago and it was demolished in an accident. After seeing all your fine builds, just had to get me another copy.
