I've got his blog site bookmarked on my big computer back home. My scene would only be about 24" x 16" x 11' tall (The size limit of the overhead bin of an Airbus 320.)
Most of the heavy planning has been done. I've got a good general idea of all the elevations and building types I would want to use. My past experience with largish dioramas and architectural features has given me a reasonably good idea of what's practical to actually build and what would require a prohibitive duration to complete.
I've always had a thing about Army medics and battlefield medicine in general. These guys are generally prohibited by the Geneva convention from carrying any type of weapon, yet are expected to run around and help the injured whilst surrounded by angry guys with weapons. It's a hell of a thing, really. A bit of human nobility right in the middle of the very worst that humanity is capable of inflicting upon itself.

Interesting concept..... I have a good friend who used to be a firefighter with me, he is now an Airlift flight nurse. So i can relate. Besides "man's inhumanity to man" seems to be limitless.....................................

As my son is a ten year veteran as a Combat Medical Technician in the British Armies Royal Army Medical Corp with 2 Iraq & 2 Afghanistan I too have a healthy respect for the work these wonderful people do. I remember in Ulster having to chase after a RAMC Sgt who didn't wait for the quick brief but just ran out of the base and covered the 200 metres to the casualty on his own.
I will look forward to your portrayal of this subject John as it will be fantastic and good luck with it. Dennis.

For me it's a 1/35 Horsa glider with a tetrarch unloading. I feel like right now skill level and display space are holding me up.

Wow a Horsa.... That would be cool.... I would like to see one in "action". Either being towed or on landing with troopers unloading.
On a side bar to the Horsa.... Can you believe the US Army in world war two DID NOT: A). Give Glider borne troops any extra "jump" style pay that Airborne troops received. or B). Any special insignia such as "jumpwings", until after the war. I say this as a former USAF Paratrooper with over 1000 jumps. You wouldn't get me in a glider, THAT WAS TWICE as dangerous as airborne deployment. The US Army really "F"-d the glider-troops which isn't very respectable for troopers that really deserved credit for the job done.

Doesn't Bronco make a 1/35 Horsa glider,at least in sections, but like you said it's big and would make a great project.

The tetrarch would only fit in a Hamilcar glider so I guess it'd need to be situated around the horsa not being unloaded. But I've wanted to build a glider for a long time. Bronco has a horsa mk I & ii I believe right now. Possibly I'll sub an airborne jeep or 6 pdr.
