Just a little something I threw together on Tuesday night on a 'Shed Night' with my mate.... 1/72 scale Trumpeter Sturmtiger..... I've done a bit of detailing here and there, like the winch cables, exhaust caps and hull hooks and tarps but that is it. The tracks where an absalute pig..... "can be glued with model adhesive" was a straight lie..... None of the adhesives I have in my van or shed would stick them together.... needless to say, its a good job you can't see underneath as I've damn near filled up the back of the wheels and tracks, by the join, with super glue to get them to look somewhere near right on the front! The rest of the kit, however, virtually built itself.... While I sat back, drank beer and watched And with its base coat on.... going to do the rest in 'Ambush Pattern' with a furry stick as I haven't done a brush painted camo scheme in an age now.... ATB Sean

Bummer about those tracks. I hope all of the Trumpeter kits aren't like that or I'm in trouble. Looks great so far!

I cant comment mate as its my first Trumpy kit I've built, and second from last Trumpy kit in my stash, and the last one is a German trailer with tyres so no gluing tyre bits together.... At least when I built my Tamiya Panther when they said "use normal glue" it actually worked!!

Looking good Sean! Get yourself some decent brushes, mate - invest in some Windsor&Newton Series 7, not cheap but they'll last for ages.

Nice work on the ambush pattern Sean, not an easy one to pull off convincingly in this scale but you've nailed it.

Excellent result Sean! I'd have to have my optivisor surgically attached to get anywhere near such a stunning paintjob in braille Looking forward to the next installment.

Weirdly, looking back at the pics here, the lights on my photo booth have really brought out the rust run colours far more than they appear in natural light and under my modeling lamp!?

Weirdly, looking back at the pics here, the lights on my photo booth have really brought out the rust run colours far more than they appear in natural light and under my modeling lamp!? Could be a combination of things, including monitor settings, that play 'tricks' a bit with things. Some cameras 'see' things differently as well depending on their settings, it can be a real challenge at times to get a digital photo to be a fair representation of the 'real deal' across multiple platforms. I've had the same photo look three different ways depending on whether I'm seeing it on my phone, on my laptop, or on my wife's tablet for instance. It looks good from here regardless, nice job on the little Sturmie!

Cheers mate, Your correct with your observations, even on arsebook, on the same monitor they look different, and on my phone, different again.
