I'll start the year with this one. I'll be doing it in Aeroflot colors as an add-on for the Airliners International show here in Denver happening this summer.

See? I knew there was a reason that they kitted that plane! Sure is an ugly beast.

Gloria and I did a low level raid up in Andy's back yard awhile ago. Plan was to stop in his LHS and then head a half mile south to the fly shop. By the time I left the hobby shop, I was out of money (again). They had a huge selection of kits marked down 25% & 50%. Gloria moaned "here we go again!" Told her not to worry much, as I only wanted a Trumpeter T72B tank kit. I ended up with:
Dragon Pz.Kpfw.IV J Kit #6556 Dragon Mk.IV J command tank with zimmerit. Kit #6823 Dragon Stug.III Ausf. F Kit # 6756 Dragon Jagdpanther Kit #6393 Hasegawa FW 190A-5U7 Graf special in 1/32 scale
saw two or three other kits I wanted, but I getting lot of frowns as it was. All kits were 50% off. She asked me (looking at the Panther) what I was going to do with it. Told her I once saw a picture of a King Tiger loaded with about a dozen paratroopers on the back headed west. I thought a similar scene with the Jagdpanther and a bunch of infantrymen hitching a ride would be neat. gary

Back in my UH-1H crew chief days there was one of these at Ft Polk in the hangar next to ours and it was one big aircraft. I used to love hearing them fire that bad boy up. Sounded like a top fuel dragster engine...............beautiful.

I picked all of this up for my small block Chevy powered modified AMT Volkswagon Bus. This all outta compliment that already wild looking engine well.
A little closer look at the 90 degree anodized fittings
and the straight anodized fittings:
and then I picked up this for my current '69 Camaro Build

This stuff technically came in the end of last year, but I just got around to mounding it all together to take pictures. First up was this cheap (under $20 shipped) Tamiya Porsche 956. Didn't have a box or usable decals, but that's O.K. cause who needs a box, and I wanted to do a different livery anyways. Prior to my fiddling with it, all the bags were sealed. DSC02880 by James Duff, on Flickr In this batch I have aftermarket decals for the racing Lambos, and the blank white boxes are AutoColour private label kits. They are the new Beemax M3 kit (Beemax owns AutoColour) with new decal sheets included. As of right now the only way to get one is to order them out of China. DSC02881 by James Duff, on Flickr Lastly in this pile, again the Civics are base kits for aftermarket decals. The C-1 Models resin conversion is to be used with any of the Hasegawa Nissan Sunny P/U kits, and the brown box is the ZoomOn Honda Civic Type R. Very much a garage kit of the resin variety, but should be workable into something presentable with a heaping dose of TLC. DSC02885 by James Duff, on Flickr

Instant Lambo collection! More like ongoing hoarding into a Lambo Collection. Those 4 kits along with 2 more than are in transit from Japan will bring my Lambo Hoard up to 22 kits. Kit 23 will be released this month...

Dang. You officially have "Lambolove"! Heck I have twice as many Nissan Skylines than that, and that doesn't take into account other Nissan models

Hi all Just a 'small' acquisition this time. The credit card has taken quite a pounding so I think this will be the last for a while.... plus my wife made a small comment yesterday about the packet...... Some 1/72 MG belts from Aber, direct from Poland as it was the cheapest way. There are two sizes - ones for 0.5 cal MG and another that covers both 0.30 cal/7.62mm and 7.92mm - I know that these two should be different sizes but at 1/72 scale the actual difference is 0.0042mm, so I hope you will forgive me! I've not ordered from Aber before and was impressed - arrived very quickly, nice quality, nicely packaged with some examples of how to use them and on the back of a packet a few random modelling tips! Oh......and when I said 'small' I mean small...... All the best. Andrew ----------------------------------------

You will love the M40! It has the proper mix of super detail and easy assembly that is a hallmark of Tamiya kits.

I guess I did say Nissans, not just Skylines. This is the rest, except for about 14 race car kits which are off in their own little area with the rest of their kind. DSC02887 by James Duff, on Flickr DSC02888 by James Duff, on Flickr

Alright so back to stuff that actually just acquired. This is my big Santa to myself box that I seem to wind up getting every year. Between 4Q kits and the Black Friday Sale at HLJ. First up some decals. This features the livery that will go on the 956 from the post earlier this week. DSC02889 by James Duff, on Flickr Then some detail-up sets for some Italian motorcars. DSC02890 by James Duff, on Flickr Bulk of the goodies. DSC02891 by James Duff, on Flickr Lastly a BMW M3...or 11... DSC02892 by James Duff, on Flickr

Admit it James: you just go into your LHS and take pictures of the stock My own addition: Lidl (discounter) for a tenner: Never soldered properly before, but first trials are promising - not being a fan of playing it safe I din't bother practising on some scrap PE first, but went straight for PE fenders for my SU

My first modelling order this years from Hannants. It was mainly the usual selection of PE, paints and other bits and pieces. But also got this which is almost a kit in its own right. 2017_01110005 by Martin Bishop, on Flickr
