This stuff technically came in the end of last year, but I just got around to mounding it all together to take pictures. First up was this cheap (under $20 shipped) Tamiya Porsche 956. Didn't have a box or usable decals, but that's O.K. cause who needs a box, and I wanted to do a different livery anyways. Prior to my fiddling with it, all the bags were sealed. DSC02880 by James Duff, on Flickr In this batch I have aftermarket decals for the racing Lambos, and the blank white boxes are AutoColour private label kits. They are the new Beemax M3 kit (Beemax owns AutoColour) with new decal sheets included. As of right now the only way to get one is to order them out of China. DSC02881 by James Duff, on Flickr Lastly in this pile, again the Civics are base kits for aftermarket decals. The C-1 Models resin conversion is to be used with any of the Hasegawa Nissan Sunny P/U kits, and the brown box is the ZoomOn Honda Civic Type R. Very much a garage kit of the resin variety, but should be workable into something presentable with a heaping dose of TLC. DSC02885 by James Duff, on Flickr . Those pics make me want to start a Car stash James. And I dont even build em. Some beauty's in there.

My first modelling order this years from Hannants. It was mainly the usual selection of PE, paints and other bits and pieces. But also got this which is almost a kit in its own right. 2017_01110005 by Martin Bishop, on Flickr Oh my! I must have this!

Nice one Bish! Especially if you've got the Arado to go with it. O yes, I finally laid my hands on the Revell Arado in November. I was only waiting to get my hands on that to then get this.

ELEVEN? Were they on sale, I hope? Define sale...That's about $320 worth of M3s...retail is $42 per kit.

Hi all The internet is an amazing resource, I think we'd all agree, but sometimes it can very time consuming sort the 'wheat from the chaff' and means having to get the computer/laptop/tablet fired up and flicking back from website to another time and again. In my of my threads Sean mentioned a modeler by the name of Alex Clark and said..."look him up he's like a god when it comes to modeling braille scale..." so I did, discovered he'd done a book on Modelling Pz IVs and variants that looked interesting and so the Credit Card took another hit. Now I'm old fashioned and so it's nice to have a book that's got a lot of information in one place that I can keep referring to easily. Although all the builds use the Revell 1/72 Pz IV Ausf H kit as his base model, there's a lot of info on general tips and techniques that can be used on anything, so I suspect I'll be picking this one up a lot! It was so interesting I read in just a couple of sessions!! Pic below! Oh and in case you haven't heard of him, look him up his work really is outstanding! Take care Andrew

My New Years resolution was to not buy every bargain kit I came across - even managed to say 'no' to Zvezda's T-35 for 19 euros... I don't consider figures to be 'kits' so NYR intact! Who needs clothes when you've got guns to keep you warm? Couple of weeks ago one of these sold for 25 euros plus p/p got mine for less than a tenner:

My first purchases of the year. Never built a Tiger before, looks to be a nice kit. Trying to figure out if I want to take a crack at doing the zimmerit myself, or just buying an Atak set. The book is spectacular. Annoyingly it's going to cost me money as It'll probably make me order more Panzerwreck titles. Cheers Jeff

Nice kits Jeff. I was looking at that and I was surprised when I realized I have never done a 1/35 Tiger I. Not trying to dissuade you from taking a crack at your own zim but the AM stuff is just so nice. I've not used Atak but have used Cavalier a couple of times and it's pretty sweet. I can't even remember the last piece of armor I built. Need to fix that. I look forward to you tackling that bad boy.

I'm leaning this way because it's not the cheapest kit in the world to be learning a technique like zimmerit on. Jeff
