So I bought this 5 pack of saws from Micro Mark because I had seen alot of people using them. I bought the handle that goes with them and decided the set up was way too chunky for cutting parts off sprue. I also noticed that the blades were fairly flexible. So, I snapped one in half. IDEA HIT!!! heat the blade up and squish it onto a sprue stick! ........ not the best idea but it works!!! What to do with the other half of the blade? 5 minute epoxy and a coffee stirrer later, and I have a nice little very fine toothed saw blade that I can cleanly cut most of my parts off with, no matter how small or brittle they are! Pictures show the original look of the blade and my two mods..... I might also try snapping another one into 4 pieces and try to find a way to get an even smaller profile.... well worth the price IMO, makes sanding the sprue attachment points almost un-necessary.
