This is a kit I started a few years ago. Got boxed up as I had a few 1/16 projects lined up . No photos from the paint stage , sorry to say , but last week I pulled it out again as I ordered a set of tracks for it . So build before primer and paint .

So, I was hoping to get this kit entered in the IPMS this weekend held here in my home town this , and ordered the tracks ( ATL-14) some 3 weeks before . Now due to some pritty shitty shipping times it arrived yesterday ( 16/3) and entering model was on 17/3. But I cracked on as soon as I came home from work. All links drilled , started to assembly. Now first thing I spottet after a little while was the kit traks vs the friuls regarding guide horns Was told it could have either types, so pushed on . After doing 1 side more ore less, I got on to the next bag, but after a little while I noticed I was running out of links , as in , I was getting more and more 'leftover' as the same side I had allready put together So either I'm doing something way stupid here , ore the kit has a little flaw.

Nothing like Fruils on those big Russian beasts sure looks nice and saggy, but man it should have come with the correct amount of L and R links

Hmm, puzzling - I've recently done the same set for my ISU with no problems. Having said that, I ended up with a total of only 15 links left over. Although they are not as quick or easy to assemble, the Masterclub metal tracks are better IMO. They look even better, and you certainly get plenty of spares.

Thanks for the heads up Dierk. I am a bit ashamed to ask, but what way is the right way for the tracks to si. since I belive ( well only built 2 sets before ) you are to have the 'pin insert' side facing inwards on the model ( not like this photo ) but I dont have enough links to get both sides with 'pin insert side' facing inwards

You're right in thinking the the wires should be pointing to the inside, Sollie. How many links are missing? Not promising anything, but I may be able to help you out.

Sometimes you get a bad batch of Fruils. Twice I have had sets with only one hand - Two bags of left or two bags or right. But your second bag seems to be a mix and match.
And yes, the wire pins should face the inside of the track.
As for direction, the "V" shape in the tread face should point down like your photo with the two circles.

In the absence of an answer from Friul, let me know how many you need - I may be able to do my Obi Wan Kenobi trick
