You simply can NOT go wrong with a Vette. Very cool and looking forward to more. A couple of months ago I saw an LS-5 454 Vette on a car lot for 19K and MAN I wanted that thing!! I lifted the hood to make sure it did in fact have the big block in it and there it was. Man the things that I could do with a car like that...… ……….. Snap out of it Joe !!!!! I aint got the money for that!!! LOL. I dunno if it'll be a Vette or not but one o deez dayz I will have a big block hot rod in my drive way.

Thanks Joe. I've heard that the big block Vettes didn't handle as well as small block ones.

Thanks Joe. I've heard that the big block Vettes didn't handle as well as small block ones. Yeah they tend to "push" through the corners. That's a lot of weight up front for that car.

As much as I love the look and sound of a Vette - 'handling' is not a word I ascociate with American cars of that era

I would , however, rather have a Vette with a big block in it than something like a 67-68 Mustang with one. Good Lord the front ends on Mustangs back then was flimsy trash!! At least the Vette was a somewhat stable platform in the turns.

You can make a C3 Vette handle! It just takes money and the willingness to accept some loss in comfort. The '68 Vette that I crewed on back in '88 would hold 1 plus G on the skid pad!
