Has anybody out there pictures of the turret interior of this prototype? I'm especially interested in the ammo stowage, but also the M4 gun breech and gunner's position.
It's a cool looking modification of the standard Hellcat IMHO, and I would like to do a model of it.
Thanks in advance!

After studying the few available pictures on the web and comparing them to the model above I come to the conclusion the turret is utterly wrong!
The modeler simply installed the gun tube of the howitzer and that's it. On the original the skate ring for the .50cal was removed and a fix point installed instead on the turret front, and the gunner seat changed from the left to the right side of the gun. Also the turret did not have the longitudinal strut.
I wish I could go to Aberdeen and take some photos of the prototype.

Seems like the tank had been moved from Aberdeen to the Ordnance Museum in Ft. Lee. I don't know if it's currently stored away for restoration or displayed to the public.
Did a lot of research during the past week on this topic, but no luck. Found only one grainy overhead b/w shot of the vehicle.
Oh, and I've learned in UK there is a "Halal Monitoring Committee" (HMC), no joke!

With so many new & returning members I thought I would bring my inquiry up once more again. i'm still looking for some high resolution pictures of the turret interior. I got tiny b&w pics from Zaloga and Hunnicut, but nothing too detailed.
THX in advance!
