Well I did get the SAM books on the BF109f thru k plus the one on the A7 Corsair. Great books! Ordered two RFM Sheridan's, and have now started the hunt for three TriStar 38t tanks. Oh and I almost forgot, I bought a Panther G early and a Tiger I late from RFM Gary

Well here's a few of my most recent acquisitions. The wife got me these for Christmas and will be put to good use. I got myself a new Sotar 20/20 airbrush which I haven't use yet. This set will be used with my B-17F whenever I start that project. Never tried out a Meng kit before and these two were on sale so I thought I'd check it out. First impression is WOW! These two 1/32 figures are on the way. Will use them in a A-6A dio when I get back to that project. 1/6 Resin figure "Death" Another 1/6 figure. I have a similar figure on preorder which will go well with this one. A 1/32 figure. And I bought the Monogram Pz IV to go with her. Both are in work right now. And I got this one and the female tank commander which that pic just won't come up on here. Waiting on the Hobby Boss Tiger tank to come in for them. There's also a third Tank girl that I will soon order. Nothing wrong with babes and tanks right? So many project and seems so little time. And now I learn that Sprue Brothers got in the GT Resin 1/32 F-4B conversion set. Something else to add later.

Well I just recieced the Tiger I late and the Panther g. Sunday I picked up four more kits. The Stugg IV from Academy. The M60a1 with reactive armor from Takom. An Airfix He111h6 plus a Hobby Boss Panther with zimmerit. Here's what I saw in the boxes: * Academy Stug IV.. very nice kit! Similar mold quality to TriStar. Excellent detail like their Panzer IVh. In other words outstanding!! * Takom M60.. was really impressed, and will order in a second kit for sure. Casting detail looks very good for the hull. Didn't check the turret all that close. Decals are for four ODS Marine tanks, and I liked their selection. The tracks are rubber band type. Very soft rubber! Detail looks pretty good to my eyes. * Hobby Boss Panther A... Looks to be on par with RFM. Zimmerit is a similar style to Meng. Looks to be a good kit. Jury is still out on the tracks! * Airfix He111h6...I had two of these before, but were stolen from me. Nice kit. Decals are some of Airfix better work. No swastikas!!!!! Only real complaint is the ribbing on the clear nose is way too heavy. Closer to 1/48 in hight. * RFM Tiger I late... Just an exceptional kit! Better than 🐉! Right on par with the Fefrmann. * The RFM Panther G looks good, and is typical for the OEM manufacturer. Gary

That Meng Panther D builds into a nice early Panther, but lacks the front storage box the initial Panthers had. Yet they include the rear storage boxes! Go figure!! The Zvezda Panther has the front box, but not the rear. Reason I write this, is that you need these boxes to build an initial Kursk Panther. I might add here that Zvezda has pretty good painting instructions for the camo schemes. Kursk saw some very elaborate camo. Gary

Got two kits today. The new 1/32 scale ME262 single seater, and the FW190a8r2 in 1/32 scale. Found the new ME262 is a light year better than the Trumpeter kit. They even got the engines and niacells right unlike Trumpeter. Panel lines are extremely fine. Almost too fine to Bondo up! Zero rivits! Downside is the lack of swastikas. The FW190 looks right, but not sure is they give you the lower armor package. Might have been wing armor as well. The canopy armor is there, and the kit comes with two armored canopies! I see an FW190a6r2 if my future! Downside is the props look anemic. Plus no swastikas. Plus the tires could have been better, but are usable. It did come with both tread patterns. Great kit otherwise like the ME262 Gary
