Thank you for your comments Lads, I have been away from the bench for the last few weeks as our summer turned up outa the blue and had a whole load a crap to do out doors, New decking ,new neigbours so had to cut the hedging , my son got a knew old camper vw van ,so i have been doing that up ,plus with the heat the attic were the modeling is done has been like a furnace ,but the last few days have been cool and wet ,so got up to do a bit and have a beer , Mixed a few vallejo air paints i had and came up with the green i got and i am happy with it , a whole other mine field,.... The weathering i started with is fine earth with some acrilic resin and a dash a paint to color , black and brown, this i daubed along the areas that the tracks would throw from them. Few pics

Few pics This is so dang cool to watch come together. I REALLY like the way you used the acrylic resin and colored it with paint. Such a realistic muddy effect. It's been pretty dang hot here too and I most certainly hear you on not wanting to burn up while you're modeling as well as outdoor tasks that need to be done. The last few weeks I've either been working on my sons truck repairing it or outside mowing and taking care of things that needed to be done. I have a long list of stuff to get done and it never seems to end. lol

Thanks again Lads, The mud color i have toned down a bit as i really only wanted to give the idea that these tanks had travelled along way in to the city, so later i will put more red brick and concrete grey colors along the running gear. The air and ground recognition band was dry brushed on with a brush i think when they are masked and airbrushed there too uniformed ,now i was not going to put on any numbers but decided to see how these would work out and i am happy enough. So Pics.

Well the Russians did have to fight their way to Berlin from the Vistula river valley, and from what I have read it was a muddy mess there that spring.
Edit- make that the Oder River valley to Berlin...

Starting to take on some real shape now with the addition of the tracks. Keep on with the tutorials along the way as I'm taking notes.....
