James, welcome to the nuthouse Thanks, happy to add to the nuttiness! Welcome welcome James! I can’t forget your avatar pic, remember it well. Cool builds all of them, especially that truck patina you did Look forward to seeing your latest on here. Thank you! The avatar is actually some art that I commissioned by an artist I found on Instagram. Quick back story, my father in law has had this 97 Nissan Hardbody the entire time I dated my wife. As a teenager it was the truck I used to drool over. I couldn't afford a brand new truck back then so I never got one. Fast forward to now, my son loves the truck just as much as I do so he gave it to us. It was in rough shape, I spent a year repairing many parts of it. But she's back on the road! I ordered personalized plates, and my son knows that when he's old enough to drive, its gonna be his. Here is the actual artwork that was completed. My son loves the GG Bridge so I asked that he add it in the background. I also had this made into a sticker I give out to friends and family too haha.

Nice! I guess you no longer have it? I absolutely love these little trucks. Here is a photo from the day I was finally able to drive her after almost 9 months of daily work. In that time I replaced the following: Front brake calipers - pads - rotors All 4 shocks Sway bar bushings - sway bar endlink bushings OSK Timing chain kit timing chain tensioner and guides oil pump water pump and tstat power steering hoses all new belts and belt tensioner pulleys harmonic balancer Exhaust manifold and gaskets plugs/wires.dist cap and rotor 140 amp alternator oil pan rear main seal and since I was in there clutch was replaced as the oem one was still installed and at 190k miles I am probably missing some things but thats the majority of it all. I just had to smog again for registration so now that it is all complete shell probably go back up on the quick jacks so I can install all the lowering kit parts I have to get rid of that horrible wheel gap lol.

No unfortunately I don't have it anymore. They were such great trucks that you can't kill them. I went off road, through a tropical storm and halfway under water and it still ran like a champ. Other than ordinary maintenance, I only had to replace the transmission (Houston traffic will do that) and the computer under the seat cause of the tropical storm flood.
But I've had two Nissan Xterra's since then.

I bought a new Frontier back in 98. Loved that truck. Had it 5 years but needed something bigger for the kids in the backseat

“We like to talk big, vampires do. ‘I’m going to destroy the world.’ That’s just tough-guy talk... The truth is, I like this world. You’ve got…dog racing, Manchester United. And you’ve got people. Billions of people walking around like Happy Meals with legs."

I never watched that show, as big as it was/is. Never would have guessed there would be a Man U reference in there haha.

I was late to the show, I'd dipped into the first series when it first aired in the U.K., and wasn't hooked. A while later a friend clued me into what I was missing, I rejoined middle of season two and never left. The BBC showed one version early evening, and a less cut version in the early hours of the following morning for the aficionados, but occasionally some stuff slipped through in the "family" version, especially when the dialogue was being delivered rapidly. One example was when Anya was explaining how she'd been recruited as a vengeance demon: "I'd been dumped, I was miserable. Doing a few vengeance spells - boils on the p-n-s, nothing fancy."
Cheers,
M
