Good morning from the Netherlands, My name is Erwin and I'm 50 years old. I live in Hoorn, The Netherlands and work as system administrator (or similar jobs) on a secondment basis. That means I go from assignment to assignment. Currently I work for the Ministry of Economical affairs. I am married with a lovely missus, and we have 2 children: a girl/young lady of 16 and a boy/young man of 15. As for my modelling: my interest in modelling an military modelling in particular originates from the time I was about 7, when my brother gave me a box of 1:72 Russian soldiers of Airfix. The first experience af gluing stuff was try to keep the Maxim machinegun on its base: something which never was to be permanent . Then after toying around with die cast tanks we ventured in the world of 1:72/1:76 plastic kits of Matchbox, Hasegawa and Esci. On these kits the first steps of cutting, gluing and painting were made. Heck, I even made my own antennae with stretched sprues. At the age of 16 I bought my first BIG kit : a 1:35 Pzkw IV made by Italaeri. From then on things went from bad to worse and now I've got a big stash of unfinished kits... When our daughter was born, I mostly stopped modelling, as priorities changed. About 6 years later I picked it up again and actually started finishing kits and dioramas. Any questions you might have, I will gladly respond to...
Kind Regards, Erwin

Welcome aboard Erwin, MSC is a hopping forum where you will fit right in. I aslo have a large stash not only in number but the beginnings of a large scale..1/16th influx. Dangerous place for us "plastiholics" as someone always posts something really cool. Seen your Mk IXc, love it. Welcome

Click on it and start typing in the name of the member you want to tag and it'll show up in your text. I thought I'd seen your name before. I'm on Kitmaker as mustang1989.

406 Silverado Found it (and you on Kitmaker) Getting around the quirks of the site, like adding emojis (no typing)... And uploading pics... Is there actually a limit at how many you can upload at a time? My first dio post somehow didn't let me add all pics at the same time? I ha to do it in 2 batches...

To my knowledge there's never been any picture posting limit but that was a healthy batch of photos you posted up. I'm pretty much everywhere but decided to make this place my home and bring alot of folks across the communities here to have everyone together in one place. Would you believe that there were only 5 of us here active a little over a year ago? Thank you for joining this growing and prospering community Erwin.

It was actually the post about the howitzer...That contains a lot less pictures 5 active users is indeed anything but a healthy population! I hope I will be able to keep this site alive and kicking, as the level and amount of interaction makes it interesting for me to stay or not...

I don't think you'll have much a problem hanging around because we've got almost 160 contributing members now with an average daily post count of around 240 posts per day with some days reaching the 290 post mark. There's been a TON of work put into this site not only by the staff but from the members as well in growing this community to where it is today.

Welcome aboard MSC Erwin! I can't say that I've come across your work before on Kitmaker, but I do recognize your avatar crest. Man you do some great work on your dioramas! I can't wait to see what will be next from your workbench.

Man, this really feels like a warm bath here... Almost a red carpet! In the mean time, I have posted all my finished projects in the appropriate places. I do have a couple of vehicles that await a dio to be built around them but will post them when the time is there..
