If anyone ever says that modelers aren't artists, simply refer them to this. Absolutely stunning. I'm sure there are people who would argue its been photoshopped!

Love the kitchen, all you need now is Gordon Ramsay lying on the floor...
Cheers,

Ok , this is the fancy schmancy Sea Shell Diner Truck Stop thingie . There will be an alcove foyer underneath with a entrance door on each side . postimg.cc/K13D7Dv4] postimg.cc/DWgJ1Ss8] postimg.cc/kD8CHk1y] postimg.cc/jC81ZvKh] postimg.cc/Vd8F9C0F]

There's just so much to look at in this whole set up Glenn. Jeez man......you're really going to town on this one. I was looking at the sink in the kitchen and was wondering where in the world you got that thing and then I read the part about using a Panzer stowage bin as the sink. WOW!! You're really letting your imagination run wild with this one bud. Good show so far......

Thanks guys , really appreciate it !!! Handiabled , the build itself isn't heavy at all but the base [ 23/32 plywood 2' x 2' ] is a tad weighty . I'm thinking four 2 x 2 sub sections to make it four feet square will be the overall build . That's the beauty of large builds make them in manageable sub sections . I don't have space restrictions so basically the sky's the limit .

You guys are way too kind to a reprobate like me !!! Small update , need to weather the cupola and start on the siding , add some ivy to the trellis , put a flower box at the base of the trellis etc. It's difficult to capture a good pic with the room lights out and the diner lights on , if I add more room light then the lighting fx don't shine , If I blackout the room then the fx is too bright and the cupola and front are lost in the shadows ................. oh well . Pretty sure if I mess with some indirect soft lights I can light up the building yet also be able to see the fx lights . postimg.cc/vcL60s2Q] postimg.cc/HcgcgWLv] postimg.cc/dLL0gZBt] postimg.cc/c66ZJy8F] postimg.cc/kB9cc9Fc] postimg.cc/MXGRKTDg] postimg.cc/sBNzYwkY] postimg.cc/CBhvKgPJ] postimg.cc/Mv7j9QKM] postimg.cc/zHXXpVdW] postimg.cc/gnWKcdxh]

Entrance looks great! I like the colors on the cupola shells and starfish. Whatever you do with the lighting this will show wonderfully

Small update on how the exterior will look . Trying to get that chrome/silverish/metallic look seen on so many diners . Needless to say it will get a lot of weathering . postimg.cc/MnsY4v3S] postimg.cc/0rqH7KLW] postimg.cc/xJjNSRXp] postimg.cc/bZQZDMbF] postimg.cc/VJc68RT9] postimg.cc/JDgrdcZk]

Handiabled , oh yeah lotsa weathering , #1 abandoned for x number of months/years , #2 I live right on the Atlantic and salt air and salt water destroy all metals left outside in an amazingly short amount of time .
Oh , almost forgot , unintentionally started distressing things , ............. I dropped the dome on the floor , lotsa plaster pieces had to be repaired .

Yup.....I live in good ol' Corpus Christi and it doesn't take very long for the salt air / environment to take its toll on ANY form of metal. It will be interesting as well as entertaining to see how you bring that fact to life with this dio. Hate to hear the luck with dropping the dome on the floor but I'm pretty sure after seeing all that you've done so far that you'll have pretty much no problem getting things put back together.

Silverado , yeah , it's back together , a little wonky tho on the bottom starfish , doesn't look to bad , I'll just add grey to the exposed bits to make it look like concrete under the paint job .
I gotta laugh , when I worked for the phone co. I got to know a lot of contractors [ on the job hooking up new houses , drinking in local watering holes after work etc. ] . Brand new homes on the oceanfront for the uber rich , all exterior metal fixtures , lights etc. ............ cuz rich folk won't have plastic exterior fixtures ................ one season later the fixtures rusted out and left unremovable stains on the siding [ vinal , wood etc. ] ............... guess what , all replaced with plastic and vinal fixtures , a contractors told ya so moment every time .
