Tamiya Sherman M51. I added the welds one the rear hull extension, textured the transmission cover and added the missing cast numbers from the ABER set and the On The Mark sets.

Got a bit done in between welding on my new project. Got the suspension assembled with the missing filler cap for the oil tanks on the Houdaille shocks the E8 ran. Also have the first grey wash on the ancient AEF Designs pre 1973 IDF sand paint. Next it a thin thin tinted black wash and than Sinai Sand dry brush and Sinai dust I''ve had since 1975.

Looking real good! I didn't think anybody else ever used, let alone still had any of those AEF Designs paints. The bottles that I bought in the early 90's either dried up or were used up by the mid 90's....

I hope it’s not too late, but your tracks are on backwards. When viewed from the front, the open part of the steel chevron should be at the top of the track link and the solid closed part at the bottom.

Not too late. I probably would have never seen it in until the far far future,

RE the 60mm conversion: That was a pretty comprehensive rebuild for Chile, with the turret from the M50 and a new engine and rear deck the most visible. There was a conversion kit (or two) out there but I think it's long out of production. I'm pretty sure Argentina used the M51 until they about fell apart but they also had a few mods to them.

Sorry for the delay, Three storms and nearly 3 weeks with out internet and living on generator power, heat, refrigeration and limited lights. But I did get a lot done with out the computer and T.V.! Even built a tank for my best friend posted after the up date.
So here is a massive up date. The year and mark has changed to an M-51 Mark III called Dagem Gimel from 1975 to 1981.
Stowage. Phone Box
Engine Deck Mods.Travel Lock assy. It was easier to make from brass than modifiy the kit one. Test Assembly with turret set on.
I'm going to relpace the muzzle break with the PE one the Verlinden made, it's thickness is more to scale.
Inkys Tank yeah too much free time.

Man. That sounds like a rough little time period. Bench time is great though. And awesome work and updates. Also I absolutely love Inky’s tank. Excellent.

Yes Chile got them, Spain got the 60mm on the M24 and the M113 used by Brazil, Spain and Paraguay got it on the Piranha. The 60mm was also mounted on the British 6pounder carriage by an unknown shop in Czechnia. I have a 3D printed IMI conversion for the Zelda along with the VLS one. I have photos of the IMI prototype I took at Latrurn in the mid 1990's when we were there trading for a Panzer IV for the American Armor Museum.

Added the casting numbers on turret and IMI numbers on mantlet plus lock latch on commanders hatch on cupola.Dug out my VLS Israeli figures to make up the three I need for it. It is a transition period so a mix of kit from thbe late 1960's to mid 1970"s.
