Bob, that is shaping up beautifully! The Vallejo IDF Sand looks spot on.

Bob- I'm waiting on some tracks from an eBay outfit, and if I'm happy with them I'd be selling or trading two sets of Friuls, depending on your opinion of them. I also have the RFM tracks in the box, haven't even looked at them yet. I'm actually happy enough with Tamiya's one-piece tracks but I want to do a couple of builds on the 'A4 hull and need the extra length to match the longer hull. I actually don't even know if there are enough extra links in the Friul or RFM track sets...

Kyle - thank you buddy
Steve - thank you, agree 100% cannot go wrong with a Tamiya kit. All these years and they stand up to time.

Carlos - Thank you my friend. I was a bit worries at first but in the reference pictures its just about right. I did some light tonal variations and washes so we will see in the end.
Brian - Thank you buddy. Lots of clean up but worth it in he end.
Rbaer - Tamiya's one piece tracks have improved over the years as I am sure you know. They hold up way better and take paint and all sorts of weathering mediums well. RFM tracks are like I said, really nice. The time and effort to clean them up would be an immense undertaking. have not started the Fruil's yet. We will see. The only issue that may pop up is the thickness of the metal and if it will interfere with the fenders/sponsions.

Great progress. How do you like the Mig synth brushes? I'm tempted to order that arsenal set - just spent $100.00 on 4 Windsor Newton Series 7 brushes that I do want, but it would be good to have some less expensive brush options if they perform well.

John - thank you. So far they are holding up pretty well. I will say I'm selective when I use them. I also have a few of Migs Kosinski sables for figure work.

This is coming along VERY well so far Bob. The one thing that I keep forgetting to do before applying washes is to get a good gloss coat on. I've been building autos too long now and forgot that was a crucial step in wash application. You have picked the details out nicely on all that stowage and the tank itself looks amazing. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the tracks.

Handi - Thank you Tojo - Thank you Sir Carlos - Thank you my friend Andy - Hammering along....LOL So the final pieces of stowage have been added. Some more detailing and yet another coat of dead flat Vallejo 62.062. So the tracks are quick going......then slow going. not much cleanup on the track links themselves, the kinda click together then you glue on a track pad. Check the length as you go or separating these will be a freaking nightmare. OK Bob, then what went slow........Well that would be the track horns, holy crap stab me in the eye with a spoon. Every single one will need to have one end cleaned up as there are two little tabs. A chisel blade laid flat against the side works well. Once that is all done, keep the magnifiers on cause you need to glue them all in place. One side left to do but I need a break. I'm cross-eyed at this point -Bob

Brilliant stowage and excellent track work. Tracks intimidate me. Much like rigging and photoetch and just about everything else in this hobby. 🤣

Handi - The main track links are easy as pie, its the damn track horns that get you cross-eyed.
