Great work Eth, I have the Dragon and legends sets in the stash, part count must be near 1000. Your build might just kick me into action some time soon. Will be keeping a watch on this one.
Chris.

Just how many builds do we start only to find out someone is going to release a full plastic kit of said build? To be honest though i prefer the AA conversion for the T-55 Enigma, over the Tamiya kit and i suspect i will prefer the Dragon/Legend kit over the Tamiya one. One of the things i dislike about the Dragon WWII kits is the "all in one box" approach they use. I like deciding what to add and from what manufacturer. Having it all in one kit just annoys me for some reason.....just weirdness i guess ;D Anyway some progress has been made with the build, or rather the painting. After the Halfords grey primer had dried a coat of LifeColor Green, from their MERDC set (LC-CS02) was applied in thjree thin coats. when this was dry a few drops of sand, from the same setr, were added and the ligfhter colour was sprayed into the centre of the panels. Once this was dry i added the Brown, again from the MERDC set. At first i was not sure about this colour but it has grown on me and i am happy with the way it has turnesd out. Now the black, and for me black is a difficult colour when it comes to the NATO scheme. I used to use the Tamiya NATO Black but i stopped using Tamiya paints a while back. for this build i used the black in the MERDC set, no surprise there however i am not totally sure of the colour. Is it too black?Should it be slightly greyer? What do you guys think? The TUSK additions were painted with, wait for it, Lifecolor Sand from the MERDC set, so no surprises there then!" The stowage is loose in the bustle rack for safe keeping and the wheels are only losely attached at this time. And that is where i am at for now. Next up the tracks and the weathering, oh joy! ACW Regards from the Swamp Eth

Thanks for the kind words guys, it is appreciated. Jack i love seeing the three tone NATO scheme, so much more interesting than just doing a desert scheme. Hopefully i can crack on with this in the next few days and finish it......*fingers crossed*

Thanks guys i appreciate you taking the time to comment Dicky, if you remember i talked about the panel fading when we were talking about your airbrushing. I think i said it looked very stark then but adding the camo has helped tone it down and i prefer the way it looks right now. Mind you with the weathering etc it will darken it again and that will help it blend in. Hopefully there will be some more progress over the weekend. After all the rain we have had this week, going out would require a floaty thing of some shape or size. Regards from the Swamp Eth
