I had collected some boxes with different modifications of KV and have decided to build them together. Such a one-man-group-build. I've already spend a few month with this trinity and now I'am ready to show some WIP results. The first one is KV-1 with a heavy-cast turret. It has a prototype. It was lost in February 1942 near Kursk (river Seim) The current state is: The second one is KV-2. This tank was lost near town Ostrov in August 1941. The current state: The third is KV-1 with screens. It also was lost near town Ostrov in August 1941 during the same battle as KV-2. The current state (no screens yet):

Andrey- beautiful work! Decades ago there was an article, in US magazine Military Modeler, based on the third photo. The author used the Tamiya KV-1 and the Italeri Horch to model it.
Most of the Horch was replaced with lead foil- and it was really impressive !
Great stuff- especially your brass work and the cast texturing you have added!

Dang, those are sweet! I especially like the idea of modeling from a photo. I think the Trump KVs are a great compromise between accuracy and easy of assembly. I built one a couple of years ago, and have one in the stash, saving it for my next attack of AMS.

Been waiting for an update on this, great work. I have a question. I have a 1/16 kv2 I want to rebuild ( cheap 1/16 china rc) and I need some tips on weld lines on turret roof,I can make out most of the lines from looking at you're build :-) Another question several is asking is how the screenon the engine deck is. is the 'screen' over the braces ore under ? like this ore this thanks
