Cheerio, That one was one of the most excessive models. Not the Grosser Hund itself, ironically - this kit falls together literally. But it was in some cases difficult to find [suitable] civilian figures. The Grosser Hund came out 2886 and here ist shown at a local military show. Staff personnel is there as well as civilians. Note the MasterBox figure from the "Friendly Match" set - British and American paratroopers boxing - i like such little details, and the soldier holding a puppy on his arms is just perfect here to underline the main title. The used brands for the figures are... Bronco Dragon ICM MasterBox MiniArt Revell Tamiya...additionally some Hornet heads were used. A modeller had some in stash at an Expo - 5 heads, 5 €, a bargain! The "Punker" figure for example was one tanker of the nowadays quite rarely seen Revell tanker set with photographer - the latter one was used, completed with Hornet head and the haircut was made from plastic Profile - Evergreen if I remember that right. Finished off 1st place in the SciFi category of the DPMV convent Fuldatal in 2012 [DPMV = Deutscher Plastikmodellbauverband >> German Plastic Modellers Society] WIP:

Okay, cause Im somehow often asked "how did you create the punker figure" - here is a small WIP-cutaway of the "model in the model" First of all, the idea behind that one was that I needed a sidekick for the diorama - besides the "puppy guy", cause the military and civilian people look nice, but too "straight". Maschinenkrieger are Dieselpunk genre... A PUNK maybe? There you go. Nice little figure btw... Except the upper parts of the pants - they need some putty. Quickly! Primer is on... Yep... That looks sweet so far. And then the fun part begins! First try ever to create such patterns . Sounds ridiculous, but ist easier than I thought - if you sketch the lines right. The other layers are exactly the same, just in another direction.
Booze ahoy! From PlusModel... lol. Cheers.
completed figure:
a slightly repainted Games Workshop decal gives even more detail...
Finally, some "buttons" were added on his jacket.
PS: The "puppy guy" and the Punker are missing on the Pictures above, and were added afterwards. Just in case someone is wondering See ya...
