Yeah, foliage is toast.
Hull mg - hmmm. That's an RB Model replacement specifically for hull mgs - hoping they didn't get the length wrong? I have several for other builds, too. At this point I don't think I have another option. :/

I've got a bunch of those MG barrels too, and it does look as though they got the length wrong! SONOFABITCH!!!!

Well what the flip? How could they get that so wrong?
That means that A) I have a bunch of useless barrels "in stock" and B) have a bunch of builds already on the shelf with short mg barrels!

I think I'm about the same.
Idea I had, though - I've mostly used them on Tamiya kits (Panzer III/IV chassis' in particular)...wonder if their slot is just a bit too deep? Maybe there's a way to shim/plug the hole so it sticks out more without noticing?

I think the problem is that, for the correct length, you can see some of the barrel with the cooling jacket. The ones we have don't have that.

Hmmm. 35B39 certainly seems to be an improvement. So what are the other ones really for?

I mean, the packaging says "german tank mg" if I remember correctly! It does. It says exactly that. I don't know what they'd be for if not for the co-ax.

Indeed. That's messed up.
Here's another thought - what's the MG34 that's mounted in a Panzer II turret look like? Is it a different barrel in that style setup?

WOW! Now I am torn... LOL Thanks a bunch!
I am with guys... dig the foliage. Good catch on MG I overlooked that too. Short MG you used was supposed to be used on the turret I think. I am HUGE fan of RB barrels... have many here in stock as I keep buying them at the shows for much less. Holler if you need one ASAP...

Yep that's definitely an improvement! The stains on the engine deck was just that touch which was needed there. Leaving the foliage out is an improvent too. Nice pics as well.
Marcel.

Damn fine job brother Dupes! Never thought much about builing one of these, but seeing how sweet this one is will make a feller reconsider.

Thanks Brother Gary! Unless you're looking for a super speedy build (or want the figs that can be stuffed into the turret - somehow) I'd go with the DML version of this instead. I'm sure the detail in general is much better, and Magic Tracks!

Yeah, foliage is toast. Hull mg - hmmm. That's an RB Model replacement specifically for hull mgs - hoping they didn't get the length wrong? I have several for other builds, too. At this point I don't think I have another option. :/ Those are for mounting in the turrets as coaxial MGs...they aren't for the hulls. This is what it should look like:

Other than a panzer 2, what else would use an mg34 coax? Drawing a blank.

Drawing a blank. Coax MG34s appear in every German turreted-tank with the exception of the Pz 1. Standard on Pz III, IV, V, VI. You're just not used to seeing them protrude very far like you might see on a Pz II.
