Cheers Robbo and the same to you jackwagon you must be a mind reader, you got karens response exactly ..................... Anyway back to George, ive added the poldrons to the shoulders and also the gauntlets, a typical poor fit by Mini art standards . The right hand has been altered to hold the lance, the left hand will be holding the shield and the reins. The Mini art shield is quite a basic affair si ill add some detail to it, I was wondering wether to put a feather plume in his helmet ??, realistically he wouldnt have them, although as ive said he wouldnt have had armour either, so i could go the whole fantasy thing and add feathers, just a thought let me know what you think Paul

Cheers Chris Started painting on the armour, I base primed it and base coated in grey then used enamel steel coat, Once it was polished i decided to try some acid etching, i painted a line in black near the edge of the cuirasse and bevor and then added a pattern in silver, the edges were then done with gold. The straps have been base coated indian red The pics not brilliant but you get the idea all for now Paul

Cheers Spud ok ive put some feathers in his cap so to speak, i had to make a bracket to fit at the back of the helmet and just added 2 feathers, ive gone for one red and the other white, thought that might fit the colour scheme Hopefully i should get more done today jackwagon hope your house move went smoothly Paul

Paul, the stuff you are showing here is just too insain for words my man. This is just awesome material! That horse is just superdynamic and well painted. As for George: well, he's fabulous as well. Superb armour and I like the fact that you can depict the helmet with open or closed visor!
Cheers

Hi all Cheers jackwagon its a thought OK in betwwen packing boxes and sorting furniture out ive managed to get some more done. George is more or less finished apart from his dagger, the reins, stirrups and of course the lance. Im making the lance from a couple of pieces of spru and sanding it to shape. hes now fixed to the horse so i can touch up a few bits if required later without having to touch the armour. That seems to be the only problem with these humbrol metal coat paints, they come off quite easily if touched all for now Paul

Hi all Cheers jackwagon, coming from yourself thats a great compliment i think that making a figure thats all your own is my favourite bit, its knowing that you have something no one else has. Spud glad you like it Just one more pic tonight, ive made the lance from 2 bits of spru angle jointed together and filed and sanded to shape. ive also added a pennant. ive decided that im not going to have the lance stuck in the dragon but about to make the lunge. No pressure from my missis to that end Starting on the base as well this week all for now Paul

Cheers jackwagon, i wont be showing a pic of the 2 together until the end, just to keep you in suspense . I had thought at the start that i would need the lance to help support the figure, thinking back to the Scotts Grey, but the pins i put in the horses feet seem to support it well enough and this figures not heavy at all Thanks Chris he does look natural now its mounted on the horse, not doing the hokey kokey ;D Paul

Paul I dont get the opportunity to get on here as much as id like, and i am amazed by the skill and imagination that you have put into this piece. The sculpting and painting are second to none in my opinion and the animation of the knight and horse is brilliant......TOTALLY IMPRESSED
