I have had the pleasure of receiving three new kits directly from AFV Club – NM-116, Dieppe Churchill III and M109A6 Paladin.
I am particularly excited by this one as it comes straight out of left-centre. From what I know, AFV Club were more than a little disappointed when Bronco beat them to it and released their series of M24 Chaffees.
AFV Club have shown a lot of imagination by releasing a fairly modern-day upgrade to one of my favourite little tanks - the Norwegian Army NM-116.
I never thought I'd see this in plastic. In fact, I don't even know of any conversion on the market, so this model is very unique. AFV Club should be applauded for doing something different to avoid any clash with Bronco, though earlier versions of the Chaffe are sure to appear from AFV Club.
Having reviewed several of Bronco's M24s, it will be interesting to compare how they have both tackled this.
I will be reviewing these three kits in more depth in the near future, with all the usual sprue shots and comments, but to wet your appetites I will post up separately the kit instructions and box tops, starting with the NM-116.
