I have not had hairspray come out in droplets before, you can try turning up the pressure a bit and see if that helps some. The droplets are from the aerosol can. i tried both straight from the can. The cheap stuff is just....well sloppy when sprayed and very thick. Im gonna go to Walmart here in a few and ill get some in pump form so i can Airbrush on. Id feel much more comfy like that.

I missed your other post in there....Hairspray is not the alternative to these other products...but the staple. The newer products are just refined for the purpose to make it ease and often too easy as it can remove more than you want is all.
As for the "other" hairspray you have...that it thicker....put some in a small jar and add some alcohol, this should cut it as a thinner cuts paint. Start with 25% Alcohol. This should solve the issue.

Otherwise you can try your hand at the windex chipping method... What is that? Tell me Bull...tell me tell me!!! alexbenvenuti.blogspot.it/#!/2013/08/windex-chipping-technique.html This is one of the best explainations around, I think. It's made by Alex Benvenuti.

Also, JT used the Windex Method as well on the past couple builds if I am correct.

Build the model, make a mold, cast it in metal, paint it and leave it the back yard for 75 years. What's with all this hairspray talk?
