Received my figure set yesterday. I need to read the fine print better. If anyone needs a 1/72 figure set, let me know.

I've always been intrigued by how stark the environment was there and how humans coped with the arid conditions. It's probably way worse today than in the 40s. Adapt or die!

Thanks fellas. Found out some reasons why they didn't show wip antennas very much on these vehicles. They would set up dipoles in the sand and stretch wire for signal strength. Those green poles are for the antenna.... duh. See, I learnt sumpin new:)

Makes sense...especially in the desert. Reminds me of when I was running CCTV cable inside a school building here in the El Paso area...before we capped off the lines, we could pick up TV signals from China (no kidding!)...it was video only though, no audio.

That being said..... afterwards found the antenna already on the rear box next to the radio compartment. May just add a stainless wire antenna to it.

More Bling. It seams the Radio set came in as well as the Casting Crew. They are all standing around telling everyone which way to go.

Good to see the new additions, even if you did almost end up with a "vertically challenged" crew.

Yeh, they might as well be Civil Employees. Five guys standing around, telling one guy how to dig.

All you need is a 'road construction next X miles' sign to go with these guys.

I always loved the vehicles used by the LRDG and the SAS. My first ever Dio was the Tamiya SAS jeep jumping a dune over a poor nazi who had succumbed to the ma deuce. I think I was all of 8 years old. I still have it, too.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane, your build is coming along smartly!
