I noticed it was very dense too especially AK Dust effect... I thin it a bit to tone it down as it nearly ruined my helicopter last year. Yeah, I'm going to have to start doing the same. Was in kind of a hurry this morning (shouldn't do weathering that way!) and wasn't able to properly dilute before application. Came out more "heavy wash" than "filtery"...I'm sure not the intended use of said effect. Tried to clean up the excess as best as I could after the fact with some clean thinner.

Well, to hit my 2014 goal I'm going to need to do 2.5-3 per month...with only 3 months until Valleycon (!!!) I should be at 8 or 9, anyway. Let me see what I can do about making the extra push to hit a dozen before the show!

Time for tonight's update. Did all of the detail painting and started in on the pin wash using the AK PG set. Again, this stuff is VERY thick, and had to be diluted...I still found it very difficult to control in 1/72 scale. "Mopping up" and blending that can be easily done in 1/35 isn't so in braille. Probably just need to get my technique down! Next up is some streaking, a bit of drybrushing to redefine some detail, and a few pigments. That's probably about it!
