Nice modification Marc, now it looks almost like something you might see on Hoth in Star Wars (that's a good thing, don't change it!) Funny you mention that, based on a couple of the builds on my bench right now...

Concrete DECALS? Now that's just cheating.

Whoooop, WELL PLAYED Marc. Hey how do you know how much to shrink your pics?

Cheating? Maybe. Funny thing is it still wasn't "easy"
Jeff. total eyeballing it. Playing with the contrast, etc then the height, width etc. then adjusted the overall percentage of size to print.. I use some of the ton of scrap printer paper I have and just keep printed in draft mode until i get close. Then a final print in the photo, high quality setting before I go to decal paper.

Mark, Bill... thanks for the comments. And thanks to all that followed along. Since the wife wanted to watch the red carpet thing I had nothing to watch on TV so I put the finishing touches on my Pantherturm. As I hinted previously… here is the “luck” that befell me when as I tried to figure out how to make spent shell casing. Not enough time to list all the things that didn’t work. While rummaging through one of the bench drawers I came across some Masterclub resin bolts that were perfect. I ball parked the size of a spent 75mm casing on these were great. The end is tapered to make it easier to insert into a drilled hole. Those are about 1/4 " long. All I had to do was sand off the nut, leave the washer and Bob’s your uncle… spent shell casings. A couple of details made from some scrap PE finished off the turret. So with further ado I present the latest in my Peanut Butter Panzer series… “Pantherturm in the Spring” in 144th scale. And the obligatory giant penny pic…

Dan, Leon... tanks fellas.
Dan I already have the next one rolling around in my head... lots of room there. Spoiler Alert! The inspiration is the final confrontation between Henry Fonda and Robert Shaw in "The Battle of the Bulge"

Jeff... thanks fella. Thanks Pete. I have to admit, I am well chuffed on how that one worked out. So many time ya get an idea and it goes to crap. Brother, more than I care to tell you. And usually I can't mix black and white and end up with gray but some how managed to mix up a color that is a dead on match of the concrete for that touching up.
