Radio call sign. 82 = East Los Angeles : S1 = Senior Sergeant. Retired in 1994 after a little over 28 years, 19 as a Sergeant.
That and a buck and a half will get you a cup of coffee in almost any fast food place.

The acid etch is unsafe. But it sure is fun to watch the aluminum sizzle and burn. Despite the danger, I love the way the panels turn out when using this method.

I agree using the acid is a fun way to do the metal, but it is really unsafe and creates a disposal problem for the residue. Frenchie's is the first time I have used Drano and it gave the same end result without the unpleasant part. Regardless, I had to come up with a way other than the acid. Since moving into this senior community I just don't have a suitable place to use the acid.

Ideas over ideas in this projects! Looks very well done, painted and weathered perfect. Hehe, when looking horror films and reading Zombie novels I can imagine lots of action that could take place in such an environment. But I guess you have other ideas for this. Anyway, canĀ“t wait to see the interior details and how it all will take place!
