Hi folks, started with the set-up of the vignette. Base will be filled with urban rubble like bricks, barbed wire etc.... And check the "custom made" trampled fuel drum. Cheers, Marcel

Thnx Foenetik.
The barrel is made from lead foil which I first engraved with a pencil.

Russian vehicle with Luftwaffen markings! Ha. Luv scifi :-)
Great start on the vignette. I like the visual balance with the suit offset. Most guys would place it in the middle.
Did you finish the JPIV? Just in time for Tamiya to release theirs.

Thnx Brian & Dupes. Mixing all the cool stuff you can find without bitten by (WWII) historians. =+) The JPIV is almost finished. Take a look here. Cool but a bit too late for me. Cheers, Marcel

The motion of the Walker is perfect. And what a great idea to have him trampled on something, that shows the weight thee thing has. Top work, Marcel!!

The drum's a nice touch for sure Marcel! Having the 'normal' figures for scale provides a sense of the size of this walker, looking good!

Thnx folks, I'm glad you like it. Figures are always the icing on the cake and like you said they are always good for a size reference. Meanwhile I started decorating the base. It will be primed black before I start painting this stuff. Figure 3 & 4 are lazy and are still on my desk but they will be present in the final vignette. Bye, Marcel

Hi folks, glad you like it. I've made quite a mistake to put all the debris/bricks etc... simultaneously. So I had to paint everything separately instead of using the original cobble stone & brick colors. like one big rock of resin.... Lesson learned and I already finished the base for 90%. (Will post update pics soon) Meanwhile I finished one of the charging Russians. 1 Down so 2 to go. Bye, Marcel.

Thnx Dupes & Frank. As you say Frank no pain no gain... The figures are from Tamiya, the awesome Russian Army assault infantry set. Heads are from Hornet. Again can't simply stop to tell how much fun it is to build & paint Tamiya figs & kits. Lot of work, a fig will take me approx. 9 hours to paint but this is a fun ride. Up to the next...

Yeah, the finger of god so to say (as they said in the movie TWISTER). Those Russians look really cool and remind me on ordering some new acrylics...
