Cool figure but too bad it's a re-edition of an old figure.

Hi Lukasz...you are correct. The figure is made very well and the detail is decent...should be the same level as with the previously released mini dio but a lower price which is nice. Great for folks that just like the figure and not all the other stuff!!

I can't fault the detail of the figure (other than the crest appears a bit overdone) but I find the pose awkward. Perhaps it could be improved by having his sword sheathed an having him gesticulating with his Vitis. Contrary to the review the figure is that of a Legionary Centurion, apparently being based primarily on the memorial of Marcus Caelius of Legio XIIX (the 18th was one of the Legions lost with Varus in the Teutoburger Forest) and Titus Calidius Severus Centurion of Legio XV Apollinaris (although his previous service had been with Cohors I Alpinorum, it had been below the rank of Centurion). The torso armour and decorations also resemble those of Gnaeus Musius, aquilifer of Legio XIV Gemina.
Regards,
M
