Was sent the link by one of my buddies from russia, his brother is one of the guys who participated in raising the KV tank there. All those vehicles were used during the siege of Leningrad, and were attempted reinforcements for the bridgehead on the other side of Neva river, which was crucial for defense. www.photo.aroundspb.ru/events/tank/

Hey Most of these are restored, some even to the moving condition, and sold to museums, private collections and reenacters. Especially the ones which sunk in a swamp or so get little damage. I was told by one of the guys who is searching such tanks, that they once lifted a T-34 from a swamp which was not even rusted, as it was fully isolated from air. After thorough cleaning, refuelling, and placing a new battery, it started and was able to move under own power...
