Resistance is futile Andy!! LOL!!! You know you want to!! Get your butt over to Hobby Lobby and pick something up!! See, that was not so hard to do!! Great to see you joining in Billiejean! Could go wrong with and Adam for a build!! Very cool! Not too sure on the K18, but I am thinking it surely would have been as it was released in 41. Caught a couple of quick forum postings on it in a fast google search that suggested it would have been. Maybe Scott will chime back in with a bit more information on this one!! I'll get you added to the list!!

Need to build 80 kits per year until I'm 100 to deplete my stash. Maybe I should sell a couple.

Dupes...planning on doing all of them? I just might! ...assuming that I can polish off some more shelf queens in between. Trying to reclaim some bench space for bigger and better things.

Dierk - that vehicle is reaaaaaally cool! Hadn't come across that one before. Not many were made (less than 40 on the GAZ chassis), and it is debateable if any were involved in Barbarossa - they were mostly used in the Winter War against Finland and against Japan, but as the last one seemed to have been around until '43, that's good enough for me. Think I'll go for white-wash. I'll be using a Miniart GAZ-AAA chassis and the resin conversion from Armo, and whaterver else I can dig out of the stash - photos to follow. Seems Remco has hit the nail on the head with this group-build! So many entries! Can't wait!!!

I'll Throw my hat in the ring. It will be one of 2 projects. Either the Karl Gerat "Adam" It fired 4 shots against the "Moltov's Line" on June 23" If I do this it will also have 2-PZIVD MunitionsSchleppers, But this may be an Ambitious Project as I plan on full interiors on the PZIVs. so I may just opt for the 17cm K18 if I can find out if that took part in OPBO. And save the Morser for Sevastopol. Hi Billiejean and welcome to MSC. Wow, going in with the big guns, very cool.

wow some nice entries in this GB.
Leon I dug out my Sd 251/6 Command Veh. from the shed, It's the Dragon kit. looks like I clipped off a lot of parts to clean up but never did so it's kind off not started.I might have some PE lying around for it, or the Ausf.D. Now I just have to find the instruction sheet for it.

Can't wait for this one to get started. I've been wanting to build some early war German and Russian stuff for a while and this is just the ticket. My first impulse was to do a large diorama with several vehicles and lots of figures but I nixed that idea for a couple reasons: lack of space to display it and the feeling that I might get bogged down and lose interest along the way. So...the plan is now to work my way through as many individual vehicle "vignettes" as possible in the period of the group build. That said, here are the kits I've chosen: I plan to build it per this scheme from the Kagero "Barbarosa 1941" Topcolors book: Also on the list is a Bison I: I know this kit is a dog. I built the Bison II several years ago and know what it will take to bring it up to standards. I plan to rebuild the superstructure from sheet plastic, add the Eduard PE, replace the tracks, etc. Probably more trouble than it's worth but there's some satisfaction in turning a sow's ear into, if not a silk purse, at least something better. Here is the scheme for this one: Next on the list is a T-34/76: The Verlinden resin set should set this one off nicely. I may display it as a derelict with a blown turret just to show off the detail work. Here's the scheme: Okay, we're not done yet. Another Soviet vehicle (albeit in German possession.) The markings: And, finally! One you don't see built too often: I know it may seem ambitious to list five kits but I'm now retired and have a lot more time to devote to working in the bunker. I might not finish the entire list but I plan to give it a good go.

Ambitious is right, Dave! We may have a bit of overlap on a couple of subjects...I picked up the Kagero book as well.

Can't wait for this one to get started... Okay, we're not done yet. Another Soviet vehicle (albeit in German possession.) The markings: I have at least a dozen different photos of this KV-2. It broke down and was abandoned alongside the main road the Germans traveled on and there were many photos taken as troops went by. There is a tactical marking on the back of the turret, very unusual for a KV-2, a white diamond with the number 4 inscribed indicating the tank belonged to the 27th company of the 14th tank division. Here is a photo of the same tank showing the tactical marking: Regards Scott Fraser

Andy--Yeah, come on and join the fray. Looks like it's going to be a great group build.
Scott-- Cool photo. I really haven't researched this vehicle yet but it's nice to know there are some pics out there. Three guys on the engine deck posing for the camera will be a great way to present it! I knew that old ICM figure set with the photographer would come in handy some day.
