I'm kinda late to this forum party but can i join with the Bf 109F-2 that I'm currently building? It's posted in the aircraft forum. It's Heinz Bar's F-2 I/JG77.

CS - what's this? Ya sneaked that under the radar mush Nice one! Very tidy work indeed Luigi - I reckon you should weather the PE with the rest of the painted office IMHO - but somebody more knowledgeable may have different ideas

It's just that I'm scared to ruin those wonderful prepainted instruments

My Achilles heel is radio masts and antennae. I just can't get them tight. When I tighten the wire, the mast breaks off or gets loose. Oh well more practice. Thanks for the GB. I love me some 109s Satch Very nice builds, really. If you need tight antennae, the best solution in my opinion is elastic microwire like the one produced by www.essebiemme.net/html/sbm_wire.html. You glue one end on the mast with CA glue, let it set thoroughly, put a drop of CA glue on the other attachment point, stretch the wire gently but firmly and let the glue set. Those wires are the ones used to rig the biplanes, their tension is so gentle that it wont break the mast, but still will remain tight.

Now thats speed building ;D Nice work on those , I like em all Well chaps ,here's my kit . I was talking to CB a few nights ago about these ICM kits ,so I thought I'd throw up some sprue shots just to let you see what nice little kits they are ! Yes ...you did see an engine ! The only niggle I have about this kit ,is the fact i got the wrong decal sheet in mine ! This is the one I got ..... This is the sheet I should have got ....Spot the difference?? The complete set of decals for the aircraft on the box top is missing , not to worry tho ,Im not doing that scheme ....Im doing this one ;D There is actually four decal options on the sheet . Quick look at the instructions .... All in all ,it looks like a nice kit ,bit of flash to remove in places ,but no big deal ,and all reviews I've looked at suggests it builds up really well ...AND at less than a Tenner ( £8.99) well worth a pop Chris.

Looks to be a fairly comprehensive box o' bits there CS - cool that it's got a complete donk in there too - few plug leads, oil lines, fuel hoses.......... and No! I couldn't spot the difference apart from the little dragony things and the big O's!!! lol

There are a lot less options in the sheet they gave you. Maybe writing 'em about the problem they'll send you the right one?
You don't even have the same kill marks on yours...

Nice to see the GB has taken a lift off fellas. Some great building on it's way. And CB: I've never seen you doin' a build so fast ;D ;D ;D
btw: fellas: does anyone have great photos of the BF110C's interior and suggestions for the colors used for the interior by any chance? I was goin' to buy a book on the Me110 in the local book shop but the had sold the last one. I have to score it online but that can take some time, so if someone can help me out I can try to buy the paint allready ^^
Cheers

Nice collection of Me's there Satch , even if one is an FW ;D great builds on the GB... hope it keep going long enough for me to post something up CS, you going to build her here? She looks mighty nice Wouter mate, I think I may have something in the book pile, I'd go for RLM66 for the bolted on bits and RLM02 for the inner airframe Cheers Steve

Steve ....yes ;D Hi chaps Made a bit of a start on this the other night . I started with the engine assembly ...and wow ! 24 parts go into this little Donk !! and I think it turns out really nice . One thing of note tho is that there is a distinct lack of locating pins ,dont let that put you off tho as it goes together very easy ,even the crankcase halves line up perfect . I was going to do a quick build on this one ,but to be honest the detail is so nice Im going to add a few more scratch parts and display the 109 with both the cockpit canopy & engine cowls open The engine .....no its not upside down ,this is the way it sits in the aircraft With the engine assembled I started on the cockpit ,so far I have only got to making some belts as I havent had much bench time this week . The belts are made from Tamiya tape ,foil & copper wire ,I think you can tell which is which . The more I look at this kit ,the more Im impressed .For such a cheap price it certainly gives some of the bigger manufacturers a run for the money . More soon Thanks for looking. Chris.

Thanks again fella's Well chaps ....This is a tremendous little kit !! I cant put it down ,Honestly the best nine quid I've ever spent on a kit . ;D Construction of this one starts with the engine & cockpit then the aircraft is built around them . It is crucial tho that the whole front end lines up correctly otherwise the engine panels wont fit ,so I spent some time building the cockpit ,engine bearers & machine guns (with ammo bins ! ) Then dry fitted everything in the fuselage . The cockpit assembled with the firewall and engine bearers ,you can see the machine guns & bins in there to .... I've left the instument panel off untill its painted because the whole cockpit is RLM 02 ,but the IP is RLM 66 . The engine is then mounted into the bearers ( dry fitted ) I then put the two halves of the nose together and got everything ready for a dry fit so I could line everything up in one go . It all went together a breeze ...no line up issues at all ,which is good because there is five panels to get seated right on the front end ! I checked the fit of the two engine panels ....again perfect fit ,they wouldnt sit in place for the pics tho' ...... This will get taken apart and some more details added ,I think its worth doing on this one ,I also think I will be doing a few more of these ;D ;D Thanks for looking. Chris.

Think I already mentioned something to ya buddy...but worth seconds!!! Great work here Chris (like that is anything different) Just reinforces my thought that the cost of the kit IS NOT a direct result on whether or not it will end up being a great build!!! Very crisp detail on this!!!

Man it's been some time since I last popped my head in here. There is a lot going on here that I've missed. CS that ICM kit is awesome bro. The office and motor look great. A bit of wiring and you can leave her opened up. Might have to look into these kits. Satch, love the collection bud.

Hiya CS, you made a great start mate. That engine and cockpit looks awesome. Which brand of paints are you goin' to use to match the colors?
Cheers
