I really lik Lovecraftian figures. This kit is really cool I'm also really like one from Ścibor Miniatures offer.

Get out of my way, folks, I AM the biggest Cthulhu Fan ALIVE! Cool little figure done here. I am always waiting for the definite Cthulhu figure ever and did a design myself several times ago, together with a R`lyeh Base, based on a parfum flacon, harhar, maybe I start doing it this summer. You have tons of possibilities with this figures, as with Shub Niggurath, Lloigor, Shaugnar Faugn, Azatoth, Nyarlatothep and one of my faves, Dagon. Iä!

Welcome aboard the fan ship, Tony! Yeah, you are right: My blood pressure cut off some important cables in my brain resulting in a spelling error (hey, AM I GOOD in explaining things!?) Sure, it is good ole Chaugnar of cause. What about a Cthulhu cut away for the autum group build?

Its older now but a great great game and captures the lovecraft world of innsmouth perfectly. Man a cutaway would be amazing. great idea frank

I have only a Laptop with a very poor graphic card (means not good enough for cool gaming) but I know that CALL OF CTHULHU, or I MEAN to know it from Playstation and X-Box. You would laugh, but I have thought a bit about the concept of a "cut away" Cthulhu and figured some inestines and organs the way "they might look like and could be arranged". It is eventually really a good idea!

Maybe instead of organs adapt the four spawn coming out as if they survived inside the idol itself after the sinking of R'lyeh!

Yeah, but before, they have to be designed... How may a kidney of Cthulhu look?? DOES he have one? A brain? Something I can imagine are some "sacks" full of gas which enables him to fly (because the attached wings could never lift such a body I think. And please, do not mention the Bumblebee. Physically spoken, it cannot fly, but it does. I think it would be more creepy if Cthulhu supports his wings with gas!)

Well I suppose it is up to the interpretation of the individual actually making the piece! I was under the impression that the wings aided flight in space...but then again, I don't actually know a whole hell of a lot about this! Maybe interject a little Salvidor Dali inspiration into the innards!

HA, some kind of "melting inestines" (hey, not a bad idea!). As for the wings: For flying in Space, maybe collecting the solar winds or something (hell, thinking of the how to drives me mad). Sounds really workable. For my PERSONAL taste, I have never befriended myself with the idea of wings because its not the way I would have designed it. I would sculpt something like crippeled wing arms, with muscles and a bit biomechanic in it, in an irregular shape and length. As an interpretation I could think of getting rid of the wingmembrans when imprisoned in R´lyeh... But hey, this is almost speculation. I think, sculpting it the way it looks sinister is ok and trying to nitpick in SUCH a case, muharr, rofl, I think that would be too much! But the brainstorm here about good ole tentacle face is really inspiring and gives me more ideas in a complete other direction. Way cool!

ISTR a Great Cthulhu wargames model which was assembled from metal components and to cut down weight was basically hollow, with openings into the interior. Might have been the one from RAFM.
Cheers,

Yeah, this is why it is so cool here: You begin a discussion and end up anywhere els, with tons of new ideas for maybe upcoming projects. And the Cthulhu world is so big and creepy! I have seen tons of kits, be it Wargame stuff or garagekits, but sadly nothing could catch me, so I started thinking about some own designs (which will catch nobody but me. Risky, but doable!) So I will see what can be done after the GB starts in autum...

Inspiration through intuition into one's interpretation to fruition! Grip-N-Rip! HP defined him as having wings that were "rudimentary". Could be anything...
