I have had a break from building for a couple of months. I went to the Shizouka Hobby Show in Japan in May then spent two months travelling through China, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Cambodia. The Shizouka Hobby Show was just fantastic. There are so many very clever model builders in Japan. Hundreds of dioramas were on show and most of them were extremely clever and of a very high standard. I got the chance to buy a few bits and pieces there and also found a large model shop near Kobe where I spent most of a day shopping. Hong Kong is just full of model shops and prices there are really good. I brought so much stuff that I had to post boxes home. So I am now inspired from the show and have lots of new stuff to work with.
I have just started a small diorama using a 100 mm Star Wars Stormtrooper . I have not ventured in to sci fi before but recently have acquired some interest in Stormtrooper figures. A phase I am sure will pass.

My Stormtrooper is going to be female. I have started reshaping the waist and added a belly button. Breast enlargement work has also began. I have not done a lot of work with figures but am happy with progress so far. ...... Possibly the boobs may be a fraction high ?

By modifying this cheap little Vespa Scooter model I will attempt to build a Storm Trooper Speeder Bike. A slightly Retro version that retains a little Italian styling. I guess we wont need old fashioned stuff like wheels. Next job will be to build a propulsion unit ...........

Now this is the perfect combination...a trooperette in heels with a Vespa-style speeder bike. Love it!

Peter, This is going to be interesting with bike -a bit retro and a figure - super modern. I also am waiting for your magic with color.

Hi there k1w1,
You're showing me a whole new way of modelling. First with Snoopy, now this Stormtrooper: I love these scenes, they make me look out for more... I'm in again!
Thanks for sharing.
greetings, Richard.

Started work on the base. I really like Vallejo Black Lava Paste for asphalt and Sandy Paste for dirt ground. The textures are great.

That has a nice convincing scale look to it for asphalt for sure.
