I ended up doing exactly that Todd. The fixers in the set are actually coloured - one is dark geenish-blue and the other one yellowish, but obviously can be added later as well.
Thanks Luigi - just like the Supertramp track (showing my age now) '
Glad you're linking it Guy! Funny thing is, after I settled on the composition of the figures I checked the the back of the MB box, which has a couple of pictures of the finished figures in a similar setting - and it's virtually a mirror image of what I came up with
Cheers Andy Quite pleased with the barrier myself - first time I did any masking to AB stripes. Pretty anxious about the cobbles as well: so far I've given them a wash with 'Oiled Earth' by Vallejo, and have started adding a bit of moss - the thought-process being that the barrier has been up for a while, and consequently sees very little traffic.
Thanks Bill - will do.
As mentioned earlier, given the gaps between the cobbles a wash with Vallejo Oiled Earth. I'm planning to give it the look of a recent rain shower with diluted Wet Effects. There are a couple of depressions in the road, so I'll try my hand at making puddles with Vallejo Still Water - keep your fingers crossed...this is all virgin territory for me:
Gave the plaster of the ruin a wash made up of a mix of Vallejo's wash for Winter Camo and Oiled Earth (have you noticed: I really like Oiled Earth... ) And added some tufts of grass (Fredericus Rex's Green Line and Dio Dump) as well as some moss and lichen:
Unfortunately, evidence of sloppy assembly showing a noticable seam between the two halves ...I'll do better next time and make sure it doesn't show when I take the final pictures of the finished project
Hope you like what you see, and ACW.
