Gary- Hey! Did we have the chance to meet? I met so many people but I was not always able to read lips and I was swamped with the judging. Yeah we had fewer vendors this year but they sold great stuff especially my favorite vendor the Last Cavalry. Glad you liked my little panzer... thanks! Plenty of great builds for sure and I loved the Pershing too. I saw it at AMPS Nats in Auburn earlier. Dave- Thanks! I didn't have chance to take many pictures... just the Best of builds for each category. I was part of the local club and I was running around like a headless chicken. LOL Am going to post final pics of my panzer in few minutes. I certainly liked your Panzer. You did a fine job. The M26 diorama got my attention as well. Yet looking thru the Roscoe Turner archives I see it's been shown more than once. Is the legal? Still there were several tracks that I really liked. Had a long conversation with the guy that did the big JU88 night fighter, and soon learned we need to get him to post over here. The two WNW Albatrosses were a big hit with me. I'd love for him to post over here as well, as his builds were outstanding (both of the guys doing WWI stuff). The 1:350 USS Hancock was very nice, and all this little bitty airplanes made me bug eyed! The one disappointment was a lack of figures other than the usual fantasy figures. I've got several Dragon large scale figures I bought in a 50% off sale, and might try to do one. Never was all that interested in figures till I saw a collection of French (Napoleon era) and Revolutionary War figures. There must have been three hundred figures. I was planning on ordering in a new Pace spray booth, but Bob was a no show. Also wanted to try some airbrushes as my right hand is much better right now. Middle finger is never going to be right again, and the middle three fingers are still numb. glt

Anthony- Thanks man... hopefully it stays with me for a very long time. I am already working on resin female freedom fighter and I can't wait to resume my work on the B-24 bomber soon. JPC- Really appreciate it... thanks! Gary- I am with you about the vendors... we saw less vendors this year. Few stopped doing or sold their businesses. But we still managed to find great deals. Wish we had the chance to meet and chat. Loved that M26 diorama and I am with you that I think he entered it before but the head judges couldn't find it in the records. Maybe we saw it in Auburn not Indy? I thought figures had a much bigger turn out... it was so bad last year but this time we had to split the categories twice because there were too many. But you are correct most were fantasy or sic-fi. Pace guy hasn't been to our show for more than three years... I wonder why. I am sure you can find him at Dayton show since he is from Ohio. PJ- Thanks my friend! Leon- Yeah too long but glad it is finally over! LOL Thanks! Dierk- Thanks... it was a great surprise! Totalize- Thank you for the nice words! Uncle Tony- Thanks! Next you may not approve... B-24 Liberator. Agent G- From DAK lover to another, thank you! Tobi- Appreciate your compliment... thanks! Very pleased how the figure came out better than expected. I am not too crazy about the ropes holding the stowage but last time I didn't use ropes on my previous build and the judges deducted to my disbelief. So I guess i have to use ropes from now on. Wes- Yes! I am so glad mojo is finally back... I think seeing my son build and paint his Gundam builds helped!!! Thanks! Andrew- No worries... I am very slow myself too. LOL Thanks mate! Bob- Thanks my brother! Marc- I ABSOLUTELY agree! Now I have another deadline to deal and I think it really helps. A good friend of mine is coming to visit us in the summer so I need to finish that B-24 Liberator that I started. Her father flew it in WWII. Here's the gongs... I need to post pics of my son's Gundams... he did so well at the show too, I was a very proud dad!

I was going to go to the Indy show but my wife couldn't get off work so we couldn't make it. Had to cancel our hotel room, we were all set. Congrats on the awards. The Columbus , Ohio show had a pretty good vendor turn out. I will see you next year in Indy for sure. Are you going to Wonderfest in Louisville June 3-4? I will be there.

JPC- YES! It would be awesome if we can meet at Wonderfest. My whole family will be coming with me too as we will spend the weekend in Louisville too. Sorry you couldn't come to Roscoe Turner show. There is always next year... be sure to let me know.

Bill!?!?! Professor Bill?!?! Doctor Bill?!?!? You are back! Must be spring break? It is always good hearing from you my friend... thanks! Today's the final day of the break...have to go back to work tomorrow. Spent most of the week lesson planning for the remaining push but managed to get some relaxation in here and there. I find it supremely ironic that our school year ends on June 6th...

PJ2- Thanks my friend! Bill- NOOOOO! You didn't build anything for your spring break?!?!? Are you OK?!?!? I completely understand... I remember my friends who teaches telling me that first year is the hardest part then after that its a breeze. Hang in there I look forward to many posts after June 6th... no more excuses! Tony- I know! Your fault... you are building something that doesn't have a gun. It was a huge factor... It will be loaded with aftermarket stuff... I think I have bought everything available for it except for the bomb bay.

Didn't crack a box or even sit at the bench, there wasn't much point to starting something I know I won't be able to really touch between now and the summer! 1st year is often the hardest, that's true, there's definitely a count-down clock running to 6/6 no question!

deafpanzer: My butt is fully kicked! That is some tour-de-force modeling! I love how you placed it on a base (which is well done too!) and even added a placard...a real complete presentation, nice. Wherever the mojo went it found it's way back somewhere during the build. Congrats on the hardware too, it's always nice to get an award as icing-on-the cake. BTW: Friggin' love the way the stowage turned out. I commend you for your effort and willingness to add that level of detail. ...And 17-18 months is better than never.

Hey guys! So sorry for being slow or quiet this week... I am in middle of biggest fundraising events for the deaf club and deaf school.
Todd- Thanks boss #2! Or should I say boss #1 now since you are always here now. LOL I am trying to finish the resin female freedom fighter first in time for next model show in April.
PJ2- Thanks bro... will probably start after April 8th.
Steve- LOL! Thank you for your very nice words! Yeah it felt so great to finish something finally! You know me... I am so weak for stowages! Some people like them but others hate them. For me I think it really makes any armors look more lively in my opinion. Thanks to my son who has been building Gundam kits like crazy I think it helped me to build up my mojo. I will be posting my female fighter soon when I have the chance.
