Nice work on the shiny stuff Andy! Don't lick your fingers with CA...it's hydrophilic and then you won't be able to talk (sign) at all!

How did I miss a light tank build? Looks great so far Andy, glad your modelling mojo is getting some traction. You better start a 2nd savings account for feeding your styrene habit after the trip. I imagine after being inspired by that Band of Brothers tour your stash is going to balloon up like Marlon Brando. Jeff P.S Saw your DUKW in FSM, congrats!

Bill- CA sealing my lips? No problemo! I still can talk. But it is that I am worried about my fingers being glued stuck together that I can not sign! LOL Thanks professor... bet you are looking forward to the lunar eclipse on Sunday? I will be in Wyoming so I am really hoping to have a great view of it while being far from the city lights. 57th- LOL! One of advantages for driving a little tank... it is harder to be detected! 2nd saving?!?! Oh boy, my wife will love that! I have been busy downsizing my stash this year so I am very selective when I buy model kits now even tho that Dora railway gun in 1/35 is on my wish list. Thanks for your FSM comment... always glad to have you aboard!

Fingers crossed for good weather. So far the forecast is holding up here locally. It's a super moon, harvest moon, full eclipse that doesn't take place at an ungodly hour, and we have great views to the East. You may or may not be able to see the whole thing from Wyoming as it may already be in progress by the time the moon rises that far west but you should be able to see enough of it (including when it is at full eclipse) for sure.

Nice work on the shiny stuff Andy. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: PE tool clasps are one of the reasons I don't do German armour...but I admire those who do.

I will be in Wyoming
Don't go! Every time you leave town you come back with less mojo and you've only just started restocking.
PE looks freaking sweet brotha.

I know the feeling... a friend posted a great tip here how to deal with those feisty clasps. I can't remember who now. It really made things a lot easier... I use 3M blue tape to hold the tools and clasps during the assembling process. STEP 1: Glue the bottom piece of clasp to the tool using CA STEP 2: Glue the top piece of clasp to the tool using CA STEP 3: Glue the final piece of clasp BUT I start with one side first using CA then allow it to dry for a minute or two. Then apply CA to the other side of clasp and squeeze! Hope this helps...

Jeremy- LOL! Probably! Hope you have been saving $$$ for the trip... I have been doing well so far. Marc- Lost mojo again?!?! NO WAY! I couldn't stop thinking of you and my model kits. Wyoming was simply beautiful! I have to return again... dinner at Jackson Lake Lodge at Grand Teton National Park. Finally got to see a moose... one less thing to do on my bucket list.

Thanks for the great SBS - it would help a lot...but when I do build German stuff they are Russian trophy tanks, and they generally took all the tools off . Someone told me once it was because the locals would nick the tools if they left their trophy tanks unattended for five minutes. Any SBS for empty tool clasps?

Once I did an empty tool clasp and it looked great on my StuG I built earlier... I will do that next time. Fortunately there were not a lot of locals in North Africa where DAK fought, LOL

Marc- You still know how to crack me up! Yep, you should have seen the baby calf not far from that father moose! Greg- Sure, you can buy it only at Grand Teton national park. Saw plenty of kits... Gerald- Thanks! I love those little panzers too. I thought it will be good way to build my mojo after a long break! Worked on my little panzer a bit this week. I think I am done with PE for all tools. Storage boxes are next... Don't we love metal antenna from RB?!?!? Noticed there was a gap in the rear when I did the hull fitting so I had to add a styrene strip to close the gap. The lower and upper hull have been glued together. I plan to tackle the magic tracks tonight...

Hard work is paying off in the PE department Andy. As for the moose, did you check to be sure that there wasn't also a squirrel nearby?

Ah so basically you cheat on the clasps too ey Fieuw...that's a relief...I do pretty much the same (though my techique is a bit different) because trying to make them work frustrated me immensely Great etchwork btw, looks the 'bling' here! Cheers

Guy- Thanks buddy! only 9 more months to go... you better start stocking up on Belgian beer for me and my friends! LOL Bill- LOL! Unfortunately I ran into several squirrels and MANY chipmunks at the park. Here's the proof... But at least we can say that they are much cuter than those I see on my yard. Wouter- OMG You are calling me a cheater?!?!? LOL Perhaps I am just trying to be smarter? Often I wonder why bother to make those clasps workable, what a joke, how often will I try to remove the tools. LOL At least they look better than molded clasps. Hope I remember who shared this great tip... 2 or 3 years ago! Deano- Thanks mate! can't wait to deal with the PE storage boxes. No bench time... too tired after two hours of tennis and one hour walking with the dogs and the wife!

Guys, still working... at... very... slow... pace! Trying to save $$$ so I have opted for Magic Tracks. So far not bad... it just sucked that I had to remove the seams on both sides of the links. ' One side is complete. Hope to finish another side tonight after our anniversary dinner.
