Looking goo Andy! Love that pile of stowage, very cool stuff! Nice to see the fig together too! Looks like you will be hitting the booth soon!! Adding the straps for the helmets...or some rope in your case is just one of those fine details needed. Sadly it might go unnoticed by some, but it's the thought that counts! I know some variants had the same hooks on the side of the turret and often crews would weld their own hooks or even wire hooks on out of necessity. But certainly the added wire/rope is a nice touch to draw some eye candy! He's one of my favorite ones...Helmet at the front is supports by the eyelet from the top, the canteens are supports by the grab bar from the top....what's holding the helmet? In this case a small eyelet attached through one of the rivet openings...barely visible. You can make it out in this picture though! Looking forward to you ripping some paint soon!! Time to let the fun begin!!

Leon- Thanks wizardo! Can I borrow your new airbrush for this? Todd- Thanks for sharing those great pics! Its like a porn to me... At recent AMPS Nats in Auburn, the judges told me that stowages need to be strapped or tied down on my Sd.Kfz.232. WOW! Damn, I thought I had them all strapped down. They do really look for small faults... so this time I am not allowing one go amiss. I might add ropes to the big pile of stowage but I am still undecided at this moment. Funny thing I see a row of jerry cans behind the 38 (t) turret in the picture you shared and they are NOT tied down! They are secured inside a box. That's what I did to my Sd.Kfz.232 earlier. Judges can be unpredictable I can say. LOL Anthony- Did I ever tell you how much I loved that show... thanks my friend! Cheers!

Yeah, the tying down of things sometimes can get unnoticed by the builder and viewers alike, however, not everything was tied down...LOL! If it is plausible the items could withstand movement of the tank without actually moving themselves, then build it as you see fit to. I ran into something similar a few years back with a Pz. III build. I was gigged for not having a gas can secured with a rope or some sort of lashing. That one point separated me from a gold...not that I was too concerned about it, but what bothered me most was I specifically mentioned in the description to see the supplied reference materials...one of which was an 8x10 B&W picture of the tank rolling through the desert and the same can on the back....not tied down! Some items are subjective even if they are fact. In the end, tying things down with rope and even rusty wire can add a tremendous amount to the overall look! Have fun whatever you decide brotha!

Nice to see some progress Andy! Glad you got the figure issue sorted out, those cupolas can be tight spaces. The desert crews would do all sorts of stuff to be able to haul around things since it was either that or leave it in the trucks...where it could 'walk away' if unattended!

Todd- You have been so helpful... thanks my friend!
Bill- It was good thing they were not able to eat plenty out there in the desert or they wouldn't have fit inside!

Did some work on the figure since it was lacking details. Added shoulder straps, buttons, wirings and mic, etc. And of course I had to award him Panzer Assault Badge because he managed to kick British butts nearly all the way back to Egypt. I think it is really ready to be primed... thanks for looking!

Leon- Thanks wizardo! I am glad he came out better than I hoped for. Dierk- Smell the paint fume yet? LOL Soon I hope! Thanks buddy! Eddy- Thanks... always good hearing from you. Todd- Thanks boss... it pays to hoard! I have like 30 boxes of Dragon figure sets and of course aftermarkets for the uniforms. LOL Paint? Wait a minute, I thought you always say it is best to prime first before you spray paint? Dupes- Thanks my friend... maybe tonight if my wife doesn't make me take the boys to Boy Scouts meeting tonight. Bill- Don't get too excited it doesn't mean I will build USS Indy sooner! LOL Thanks professor!

Yep the stowage stuff is from Black Dog and Value Detail... great stuff! PE is from Voyager and it was a good deal I bought at a show for only $18. No update... had out of town visitors for last two weeks but the house is finally quiet. Gave the panzer a warm bath last night so she is ready to be primed next. Sorry no photos... she is little shy and doesn't want for you to see her naked.

Totalize- Thanks... glad you like it too! He is ready to kick some arse I think. LOL
adt- Thanks mate!!!
Guy- LOLOLOL! No kidding... wife & I went shopping tonight and we don't remember seeing so much Star Wars merchandise right now and the movie is NOT EVEN out yet. My boys and I managed to watch all six movies in six nights during boys Thanksgiving break.
I used new knife blade to carve for better details such as collars and pockets. It seemed to work out... glad I was able to use old Dragon figure for this since none of my resin figures worked out. Thanks for stopping by!

Your PE work looks so clean. Did you solder or super glue the boxes?

Your PE work looks so clean. Did you solder or super glue the boxes? Hey MK! Thanks for the compliment. I used super glue. I always wanted to learn how to solder but I haven't had the chance. Maybe having OCD helps me keep things very clean? LOL You should see my bench... always clean!

Hey guys!
I am back from a long break visiting my parents in Florida for the holidays. Yeah unfortunately, not much to report except that they have been primed two weeks ago.

Man, it has been more than a year since I touched my little panzer! 2016 was not good year for my mojo you have noticed. But I am happy to post an update finally... Yes, it has been primed and painted! I didn't paint it in many tones or anything fancy... just two tones of panzer gray because I will be spraying sand paint on top of it but I will spray chipping fluid first as my next step. Thanks for looking!
