Hi guys! I have been busy building my initial model for the operation barbarossa build group. Its the (im)populair T-30S light tank. This was a land only version of the T-40 amphibious tank. The tank was designed as a stop gap for a better design like the T-60. On the internet i found a photo of a tankcommander in a T-30, surrounded by snowblocks. This apperance looks like an iglo. Unfortunaly i can not show to much, because i am building this for a magazine. nevertheless, i hope you like it so far...

Interesting concept to camouflage the little tank with snow blocks! Of course you have my attention too!

Hello Remco,
Hope you make it to the finishline in time with this one. I'd love to see some paint on it. But no pressure ...
greetings, Richard.

Base color is 4bo green from Akan, and went on fine. Just painted the wheels, guns and optics inside. Next up is a gloss coat of Alclad ALC 600. I wil post some photo's when its in the gloss coat. I am very happy with your support guys! Thats the thing that makes this site so good!

I went upstairs tonight and put the whole tank in the Alclad ALC 600 gloss laquer. When its dry i make some photo's of the tank in all green, with the figure. Then its time for the white layer...

The tracks are not pressent due the fragaile nature. They are painted in burned umber. On to the white!

Looking good in a shiny 4BO kind of way! Looks like the bar that runs around the top edge of the large stowage box stayed in piece on your build - I ended up having to replace mine with wire as it broke in several places Psst: Have you noticed that the PE grill has lifted on one corner?

I finally put the white on it. Its a week ago, but a horrible thing happend. Last week i forgot to bring my cylinder with brushes home, from the IPMS show. Luckely a friend found them, so i can get on with weathering the tank.
