Nice to see this one making a reappearance Guy! Giving me itchy fingers to start mine... That would be cool Dierk, it was Wouter's Panther build that inspired me to rip this kit open and months later it's Bill's Tiger build that made me firing up this project.

Hmm, decisions, decisions...I was really planning something nice and straight-forward, or finishing some of my shelf-queens. I'd flip a coin, but they don't have enough sides...

It's a companion project to your Warrior Toad...after all, you're sculpting/shaping some of those zim components! Nice to see this one get dusted off once again.

Thank you all you bunch of Panther addicts ! I did good to pick this build up again, yesterday I filed, glued, cut and more until the entire hull was completed and today I went for the turret until it was practically done too. I was very pleased with the Atak zim set and I'm glad I used it finally.
Tomorrow I will make good daylight pics of the dryfitted model.
Only the Friul tracks remain, that's for later this week.
Next week my entire mancave will be filled with paint fumes, it's avery long time ago since I airbrushed (I painted several busts by brush).

Same here...I'm at home tomorrow so I'll keep my windows open so I can inhale those fumes when the wind takes them over here Cheers

Hi guys, no finished Panther yet, but the entire turret is done now and also the Schürzen supports were glued on. Tomorrow the plastic/resin/milliput works will be done. By the end of this week I'll try to finish the Friul tracks.

By the end of this week I'll try to finish the Friul tracks. I've done mine - I like to get the 'boring' stuff out of the way early on in the build

Boots, thanks for jumping by sir ! I'm glad you like it. Dierk, I usually start with the boring stuff too, like Friuls, but back then I was already friulling together a pair of Patton tank tracks. 95% done now... More soon, weekend's in reach ! Best regards !

Absolutely Yummie there Guy! Nice work. Paint ain't too far now ey...exciting! Did you scratch those skirts btw? Think I better did it too, because I don't like metal skirts, paint always flakes when handling them...
Keep up the good work chap
Cheers

Hi Wouter, I always prefer styrene stuff to tune a model because it simple to glue on and paint won't come off by manipulating parts. The Schürzen or skirts if you like you see on my model, are the kit's ones and they work for me. Thanks for your kind reply matey !

Looking very pantheresque in a Panzer V sort of way Are the drive-sprockets very loose-fitting on yours too?

I prefer a tight fit Yeah, it's part of the Dragon Panther legacy One would ask himself why Dragon never implemented the poly cap solution like Tamiya...works wonderly well Cheers

[/quote] The Dragon Panther drive sprockets are a loose fit, when you dryfit them they just drop off. Nothing to really worry about sir, we were just joking around. Karma + 1
