Thanks Deano! The build was fun and easy...sure you would enjoy it too! I suppose the detailing is comparable to that of the mini DML kits you have going on...but any scratch work has to be milder on the eyes! Worked the color a bit! I laid down a dunkelgelb base and grab some "appropriate" colors for the camo. I wasn't too worried on the final camo application as my plan, if that is what I can call it, was to chip back the camo. Managed to chip things, add some decs and pop some wheels on to see how things look! Pretty sure the next step will be a somewhat worn white wash to break things up! As always, thanks for stopping in!!

Didn't realize the 1st go round this was 1/48. If i could go back in time i would kill that butterfly that would steer the major armor scale for 1/35 to 1/48. Big enough to detail but much better for shelf space. That looking great T.

Pattern should provide the perfect foundation with a worn w/w over it Todd. Looking good!

Hey Todd,
Great looking IV you've got there. Like Deano's SPG I really enjoy seeing those off color barrels, they make nice contrast. I'm gonna tag along and watch the white wash.
Are you going for one layer of white wash or more (like three or so...)? It makes it look like the first (two) coat(s) are worn out and the crew has brushed on new layers. It gives the model even more depth although I'm not sure itf it works on this scale, the vehicle being (much) smaller then a 1/35 Panzer.
greetings, Richard.

Deano....lol!! Sorry....but I am thinking of grabbing some more of the 1/4 scale gems! Marc - Thank you sir! Yeah, not too bad at all on the detailing in this scale! Certainly comparable to a lot of stuff in the 35th range! Thanks Bill!! I am certainly keeping the finger crossed.... Thank you Richard! Well, as you should see below...2 colors! Figured I was going to make anything up in the weathering end. Should pull up the colors nicely! And just like that...paint the darn thing basically white and see what comes of it! A subtle color change with two separate colors for the WW. A decent filter and washes should make some things pop! I will be hitting some weathering next...thanks for tuning in!!

Bring out the grunge!
I always hate covering up a good camo job with whitewash...but you know it'll look good when you're done.

Thanks G! I suppose you don't have to wait too long! Awesome Deano! Can't wait to see you dig in to them!! Some playtime to start! I managed to get some chipping in and a quick wash to bring out some tones! I still have the tracks to work on at some point as well as working on the exhaust and whatnot! Thanks for hanging about!

This is looking so great! Im tempted to get one and try this 1/48 stuff out , might give my eyes a wee rest from 1/72 lol ! I have also looked fleetingly at the ever growing 48 scale stuff, but unlike Mr Deano I have chosen to remain loyal to the braille for the near future having had by 'bigger scale' itch scratched when I did my 35th Panther A. Cant wait to see what Deano comes up with... Oh, nice Pz IV by the way, the WW looks awesome, might have to do it soon on one of the KVs I've just bought.

Dirt, chipped paint and general dilapidation look very good! I like these models - the chaos is always great (imho)

Beautiful finish, it really is hard to not consider having a go at this scale like Deano, especially with results like this, but I already have way to many braille kits started and in the stash to consider it for long, I've even had to stop buying braille kits as my stash shelves are beyond full!!..... Need to build faster and buy less I suppose?!
Again, beautifully finished!!

Thank you Serzh!! Glad you like it!! Thanks Sean! LOL...I think we all need to maybe buy a little less! Tough when the supply outweighs the procurement! Thanks Deano!! I am thinking of a base possibly! But at the moment there are a few lingering projects that need some attention!
