Trumpeter 1/16 PZ IV 3/14 Changing Gears

Now that the final drive is out of my hair, Going to take a break from worrying about designing kits and actually get back to building one.
Since I thought it was a good idea to open it all up and show the fuel tanks and the whole tank in pieces, I can not use the supplied floor plate,(Plus that ends up giving the tank a scale thickness of 65mm of armor ) So had to a lot if filling to do and started "Welding" it all up with Epoxy and/or Melted plastic Welds.
and I didn't think there was enough crap in the way so I blended in the Drive housing. (Should of waited but impatient) So now onto adding everything else.. Going to be fun.

Finally got some bench time, Rebuilt the front cross brace and welded it all in, Added the access panel flanges, filled in the floor to finish off the fuel tank access holes, Squirted a little primer so I can see where I need to clean up and made some working turnbuckles for Brake adjustments.
The are made from 1mm Eyeglass screws the ends filed off, 1.5mm copper tube filed into a hexagon center piece with resin jam nuts and end connectors.

I have to agree with Dierk that really is some truly amazing work!!

If there is anyone else out going to this level of detail then I've not come across them since I came back to the hobby.

PS I love the use of the massively over-sized knife for scaling purposes!!  Was it hard to find??

Yep that Knife is one of those old display knives. The blade is actually 12 inches long.. Helps me fake a lot of stuff and also makes skinning a bear short work.

Just a little more assembly and detailing.. Figured I would go stupid on it as I know I will never be building another one like this.
Really need some weathering though but that is some time off.

So I take it you have issues with bears in your part of the US?

Finally the brakes and final drive is done.. I can finally move on the the rest of the floor and steering.
I am sure everyone is sick of seeing the same dang parts all the time.
The final Part with adjustment handles, Springs, Control levers and working cotter pins. No glue was used on any of the pins so the whole assembly works, So now I need to find some SS Smurfs to drive the thing.

Will do some painting on it later when I get the rest of the floor done.

Can you please ease up on the outstanding work just a bit - PLEASE!! - I'm running out of superlatives and we're only on the front drive!!

I will be completely honest and say that I have no idea what the innards of a Tiger look like and so can't comment on its accuracy - not that I have any doubt about how accurate it is - but the latest set of works is truly amazing at any scale.  

I am sure my draw physically dropped when I saw your latest post - the effort, skill, workmanship, the hours to get it looking like this....

Thanks all.. It will be displayed in a modern restoration Diorama.. Going to mount the Hull on a rotary so you will be able to see under it where I have all the fuel tanks plates removed.
