Thanks Andy. Sorry all for the crappy quality of my photos lately, still trying to learn the ropes with scale model photography. Played around a little tonight with the camera. No real progress on the build but at least I feel like I got a few things headed in the right direction in the photo department. Take care. Jeff

Thanks for the comments and input. Got some more dust and dirt on the way, but I will probably paint the fig first. Jumping around on different parts of the build seems to keep me more focused on the way to the finish line. Last year I was terrible for shelf queens.

Much happier with this guy's expression, fits in with the tanks scene a lot better. For some reason he reminds me of Race Bannon from the old Johnny Quest cartoon. I was THIIIS close to giving him white hair. Hoping to make a little more headway on things tonight. Thanks for looking Jeff

Face on the figure looks good Jeff! My figure painting skills still leave vast room for improvement, but may I suggest some darker colour inside the ear maybe?

My figure painting could use work too, thanks for the catch on the ears.

Well I've been wanting to build a French Sherman since I came back to the hobby about 5 yrs ago and I'm glad that I finally was able to finish it. Love the Tasca/Asuka kit. My only tow very minor nit picky complaints would be the 2 part barrel and their their foam rubber suspension. It seems like the front wheels always lift slightly since the suspension gives slightly due to the tension on the tracks. I mean on the other hand if your building a M4 with the suspension on uneven ground I imagine it's fantastic. I'll fix it in place permanently with super glue later. Just noticed a small piece of scrap paper towel just below the tail light. It's gone now. Making some headway in the photography department but still need some work. Thanks for looking and thanks for all the encouragement and helpful input along the build. Now maybe I'll open a Kronie 1664 and stare at the stash and see what I want to work on next. Santé! Jeff

Fantastic scene Jeff! Fine bit of weathering and the fig goes a long way to bring the whole build into perspective!!

At the danger of sounding like a junk-food advert: I'm loving it! The butterfly is a nice touch! The only tiny fly in the ointment for me is the stowage on the back shelf: the jerrycans and box could do with a bit of rope to tie them down.

Thanks for the comments, much appreciated. The only tiny fly in the ointment for me is the stowage on the back shelf: the jerrycans and box could do with a bit of rope to tie them down. I honestly did play around with this before I took the photos but just couldn't get it looking right. I used a couple different types of string and it just didn't look to scale. It's an annoying choice. Either let it bother me knowing that it should be there, or let it piss me off because it's there but I don't like how it looks. I wish fly fishing was more popular in my area, I imagine I could find something that I'd be happy with in their selection. Any suggestions are appreciated. Cheers Jeff

Jeff, check out a place where they have a good selection of sewing supplies. You should be able to locate a thread the proper size to use as tie straps.

Jeff, check out a place where they have a good selection of sewing supplies. You should be able to locate a thread the proper size to use as tie straps. If you've got a crafts store (like a Michael's or similar) in your neck of the woods, look for crochet thread. It's a near perfect match for 1/35 manila/hemp rope.

Will keep my eye open for it next time I'm in one of those places. I'l probably bring a 1/35 figure to check for scale and look like a lunatic. Jeff
