Hi again This is one of my current projects, started earlier this year, but was paused while I was finishing McQue's Last Airborne. Those who know the movie might remember Mr. Kim's neat little floating boat, a mobile thai fast food restaurant. Most parts will be scratched from various materials, some of the details will be taken from kits and accessories. Many pics up to now, I'll sort them by theme and bring you up to date shortly. This is how it started: First paper drafts: Wooden parts. Remember the boat I'm talking of?

I like this so far. Especially the bamboo and the roof.

Bamboo frame and roof texture looks very convincing! An interesting project - will look in the front row! Good luck!

"Multi-Pass!"
This is spectacular!
1. What did you use to stick the wood to the plastic substrate? 2. How did you do the thatched roof?

Leeloo Dallas Multipass 1. Do you mean the lower frame to the wooden hull? It sticks mechanically, most parts are removable until the interior is done. In the end, I use cyanacrylate to stick different materials. With wire pinning wherever possible. 2. The roof was made from a sheet of paper, cut a zillion times and added wire. Cuts were only in between the wire spaces to keep it together.

Pretty cool! I like how you've got the 1/35 cut-out figure to help keep things in scale as you pull it all together. Pulling up a chair to see how this one comes out.

The decoration details up to now. LED lanterns and position lights: Some of the scratched glass bottles made from transparent shrinking hose (WIP): Some of the bought parts: Some parts are still placeholders or will be repositioned. The military figure is just for size comparision to get an idea for the walking space. Yesterday: starting the furniture with balsa wood. From now on, you're up to date with the project

Yap, have seen this build up elsewhere and I really love it. BLADE RUNNER is cool, but this flying imbiss here is well done. Can´t wait to see you detailing the inestines out of it. I have found some cool stuff on the net and I definitly will try this out for further projects. Check out the meals this Lady creates and be blown away: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sp0ATm3eeHEFrank

Wow, that's really cool stuff. Frank, thanks for the link. In 1:35 they will be very small, but maybe I can create some peking duck, spring rolls and fortune cookies this way

Yeah, you are right! When I first saw the videos from Tanja I thought, my eyes would pop out. She did such incredible stuff and I am sure, to try out the technics she provides. It looks so easy doing meals and cookies, cakes, whatever in this way.
OK, in 1:35 it might be really heavy, but some ducks, vegetables or fruits could be done. Could add a real spot of colour!

Making good progress! The kitchen layout looks like it's just right in terms of space arrangements...everything in reach but enough room to keep from getting singed by the stove.

The kitchen is larger than my own at home Painted some of the equipment. Looks a bit medieval, but this impression will change with all the glass bottles and other equipment.

These are from different sets, see 6th picture in post #14. But the Miniart could be used as well. I just took what I found on a model fair, no special preference.

It was delicious. Tasted a bit like plastic, and the portions are somehow getting smaller and smaller for the same price... but still delicious
