Just to keep myself occupied, I've been working on this during the downtime with the Marder. The office and engine. All closed up. Hide that engine. cheers Rossco

I love german planes, and unfortunately I built only one 190 when I was a boy (it turned out awful, but, hey, I was only 12).
I'll follow you, is it 1/48?

Luigi, ;D thanks mate. Thom, cheers. ChrisS, cheers mate, interruptions will soon interfere . Robbo, just getting lots of bench time at the moment. Rob, just needs some decals now. jackwagon, it was very tasty mate ;D, cheers. A few hours spent on the AB today, attempting the mottling. I think it turned out ok for a first attempt. Had a slight problem, somewhere, somehow, I knocked off the little round thingy on the bottom, so quickly knocked up something that looked like it out of fine wire. Interested to hear your verdict on the mottling and any suggestions for the future will be appreciated. cheers Rossco

The mottling looks right to me, maybe some of the mottles are a little on the big side, but I dunno if 190s had the same camo as 109s and 262s. All in all it looks the thing and I realli like it

MF72, cheers mate, glad to see you motivated to finish it ;D, I try very hard to keep it down to 2 builds on the go at once, I don't think I could juggle anymore . Well a straight run through on the decals, and here she is in her party clothes . cheers Rossco

Evening all Began the weathering with some slight chipping on the propeller and where the pilot would walk. Next up was some light weathering using Mig Buff oil colour. This was done along the leading edge of the wings and some streaking down the length of the wing. A little bit of staining added around the guns and some exhaust staining added as well. Taking it slowly but surely, I hope ;D cheers Rossco

Rossco, nice job on the weathering, mate.Depending on how long an airframe lasted 'In theatre',it may well get right down and crusty....Look at some of the Pacific Theatre a/c!

Very nice. I think you should add some chipping to the moving part of the canopy, it was one of the parts whose friction ruined the paint fast

Chris67, cheers mate, hate to say it but the prop spinner is off a little.
ChrisS, thanks mate. not sure to tell you the truth.
Robbo, cheers mate, yep I agree.
ChrisB, yeah mate, not quite so worn as something in the Pacific theatre but I reckon a bit of damage would be ok.
T, thanks mate.
Luigi, thanks mate, will take your advice and apply some chipping there.
cheers Rossco

jackwagon, cheers mate, really happy with the way this is turning out. Some final weathering added, I used Flory Washes, Sand on the upper surfaces and Dark Dirt on the lower surfaces, then added some chipping around the cockpit (thanks Luigi ), then I tried out Ez-line for the aerials. Pretty much done now, just a matt coat to take off the shine. cheers Rossco
