Hi guys finally got to this GB with my first 1/48 tank I must say this kit is awesome value for money , full interior and engine included for the same price I would buy a 72nd kit !!!! 10 quid !!!!! Anyhoo I wont be using the interior on this build , I have that earmarked for another build . However I will be using the turret interior as the hatch will be open ....going for winter panzer grey Russian wet mud finish ....wish me luck!!!!

£10!!??
Thats stunning value for money! Especially since I just paid £25 for that Tamiya flak Pz IV, as I was shelling the cash out I did think to myself "at this money, this scale wont last long for me!".... Part of the reason I don't do 1/35 is the cost of the kits half the time... But a tenner is quite reasonable money... Pity my local shops all view plastic kits as a side line to their main income, so don't carry that many of any scale.
Sad to say but I may have to start sourcing my kits via the tinterweb doohickey instead of supporting my local shop.

Thanks for joining me guys I got that flakpanzer from Ebay for 17 quid .....25 is very steep IMO . I get kits from my LHS as well but they aint priced like that mate .... I reckon you would like the Achilles which is around the 16 mark on Ebay

I've already built the 1/35 scale Academy Achilles..... Makes I wonder if it would hurt to have one in every scale?? And those prices sort of put the nail in the coffin of shopping at my LHS and buying off the web,.... I always got the impression anyway that I was a bit of a bottom feeder cuz I didn't like trains in the one shop or die cast cars in the other.

Hello fella' s, I have a good update on this one .............. In order to fit the swing arms I had to construct the side walls of the interior . Just a glimpse of what the interior looks like , even has an escape hatch with detail on both sides .............. so many options with this kit . There is a two part jig with the tracks which works quite well . The tracks are the biggest let down of the kit ....the detail is great but there are two pin marks per link on the outer side . In a way its not a problem if you like muddy vehicles which I do . If you dont then its AM tracks all the way ..... I have another 2 to build and dont plan on buying AM products sooooo! guess I will be honing my mud effects lol . This pics shows how much of the interior can be seen if you choose to show it . Excellent wreck potential with all the hatches blown out ..... the funny texture on the hull will be cast texture once I sand it

Looks like a really nice kit with plenty of detail in it.
A good job done so far mate, pity about the tracks as I'm not one for to much mud on my builds.

Dude, you are aware that next year happens in a month and a few days right??
You could do them side by side then, a bit like I'm doing with my Airfix Cromwells.
Its looking a real nice kit all round mate.

Thanks fella's , Sean you do realise when I say ' next year or so ' that gives me a time frame of 10 years minimum Ah yes, a similar time scale measure to mine it appears And being an honorary Welshman I have been indoctrinated into their typical Welshisum of "I'll do it now in a minute!"
